I was born & raised & still reside in Tacoma, WA. I became interested in family history when a girl and enjoyed hearing the stories my aunts & uncles would tell of their childhood with my mother in the state of Maine. I have been researching for almost 58 years, and worked in the genealogy libraries locally for over 25 yrs., a member of Mary Ball DAR for 34 years, and have received 2 certificates of appreciation from the City of Tacoma for my work in the public library, genealogy division. Recently awarded a certificate from the Washington State Gen. Soc for genealogical contributions since 1957. My husb. & I have walked through many graveyards, and have charted several that were rural graveyards and hope to enter the data for others to view. Have a special interest in my mother-in-laws family from Central Louisiana. Think this is a wonderful website.
RE: Help I am so very sorry about my error. I do remember seeing some Crooks on the list but have no idea of first names. Maybe you will run across them again and will send them to me. Please forgive me. Tommye
RE: Marcotte Mrs. Genie, I would love that and thanks so much! I just started with this find a grave site but am already having a great time of it. Sautier or Satore as he is listed in the church records is buried in Hessmer Louisiana, I actually just made the connection and visited to verify and see for myself this week, let me tell you, my grandfather was so happy to find out, he was 2 when Sautier died and had no idea where he was buried, we're going paint and put flowers out later this week or next. Thanks again and thanks to Find a Grave!
RE: fag# 92739823 Wm.Morris Kerr Take a look at the Milton Frewater IOOf cemetery. He may be there also with some erroneous dates.. I requested a photo to see if he has a stone there. He may have been moved if he was at the Pioneer cemetery first. I may have to take a trip to catch them up on their requests but it is a 4 hour drive!
RE: Mary Ann Book Powell Wiley thanks lady, question, are you related?? Most everyone in Craig cemetery is one way or another. My great grandparents, grandparents and most of my aunts and uncles are there. Any help with this family history is more then welcome.
