The research into our family tree began with my 2nd cousin Oliver (Timmy) Ystesund who was successful at tracing our Norwegian roots back a few hundred years until his death in 2003. Through my research, I was not only able to validate his findings, but have also been able to greatly expand upon his research. The family tree now includes over 8,000 people with literally hundreds of documents, records, and photos. My prized possession out of all of this was the discovery of an 1887 journal written by my Great Grandfather George Robert Harrison's journey from the U.K. to Quebec, Canada that was hidden in an old book. It's been a journey of discovery, of family secrets, of meeting new people through sites like Ancestry.com, Family Search, the Finland, Canadian, and Norway National Archives, among many others. As I have gained knowledge of my family tree, I have begun to add unrecorded memorials of my ancestors on this website and have volunteered to assist those who request photos of the headstones of their family members. This site and many others on the internet are invaluable resources not only for individuals looking for information on the history of their family, but simply to locate where their family members are buried. Find a Grave is also a valuable resource for those wishing to create a memorial for their lost loved ones. As I add memorials, I am working to add in information that will assist others in their research into their family roots.|

I have information that one of my relatives, Evelyn Jean Leisure b.1932 was married to Albert. They were married in 1953 and divorced in 1970. I wonder if you might have any information about them?

Hi, I am glad to help. I just happened to notice when I was uploading pictures.
|Pat Braaten||Greenwood Cemetery Olav Ystesund|
Please check spouses for
Olav Ystesund 42692132
Wife Nora E Skauge Ystesund 42692083 and
Wife Nora Stensrud Ystesund 42692112.
He was married to two different Noras I think. However the birth dates are the same in the memorial but they are different on the two different grave stones. At least that is what it seems like.

|MN Headstone Hunter||More Beckstrands|
I've found and more Beckstrands while wandering through cemeteries this summer. Feel free to view them at my profile page under contributions area by last name. Thanks again for the note - whenever I see them, I stop for a moment and wonder if they are someone you are searching for. MHH
|MN Headstone Hunter||RE: Elna Johnson|
Just put two Beckstrand on in Acoma Zion cemetery in McLeod county, please check and see if these are related.
I'll check for the correct number on the Johnson's for you and get that to you. Not being family, I don't know if they'd take me seriously, but would be happy to capture the image!
|MN Headstone Hunter||Elna Johnson|
Take good care of Elna! If I can help with searching in the area, please let me know.
