Rudeness will be ignored.

I enjoy documenting graves so that others can find their kin easily & accurately. It is an opportunity to honor those who have died as well as give current and future generations access to information on the life of a forebear or other relative.

Thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging and positive thoughts! I don't always have time to answer everyone back, but please know you too are appreciated. :)

With only a few exceptions, I will no longer enter cause of death info nor death certificate numbers.

Duplicates: It's never my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the SAC and let me know.

If I enter a memorial on May 1st for Jane Doe and then someone else enters another memorial for the same Jane Doe on May 15th, the one entered on May 15th is the duplicate, not mine, regardless of how much info is or isn't on the memorial.

Transfers: I am not one of those people who refuse to transfer in or out of guidelines. Ask and ye shall receive, unless you're 1 of those people who don't transfer out of guidelines. Please note, if we are both related to the person in the memorial I will only transfer if you are related to a closer degree.

If you have any questions about family history research, or need help navigating this wonderful site, I always enjoy the opportunity to help you. Please contact me via the SAC tab on any memorial I have created.

Hi William,
Happy to be transferring to family.
Actually, you and I are distantly related. I see Edward Fleming was your ggg grandfather and his brother, James, was my ggg grandfather.

RE: Thank you
You're welcome. I noticed Paul Everetts is listed in the wrong cemetery. I sent a message to the person maintaining his memorial, so hopefully it will be corrected.

Good Intentions
Powell family at Forest Hills
There were several other Powell members in close proximity and I decided they had to be related, so I shot them all. There are many in this cemetery who are not linked yet, so you have your work cut out! Scout731 manages many of those memorials, and he is great about transfers.

Best of luck!

Frederick Porter
Minter Foster in Transit, Orleans, NY
Hi William,

My name is Fred Porter, I'll be happy to process the edits. Minter's place of birth jumped out at me immediately, so I had to look at your profile. My son's girlfriend is from Weston WV, and her g-grandfather, Dale Clark White was born in Hacker's Creek, the son of Seymour White and Jessica Woofter. Many of her ancestors were early settlers in Weston. Small World! I had to write,
Have a great day,

RE: Thank you
Dessie is three rows west of Tillie, but sorry I was not able to get a satisfactory shot that included all Drummonds.

Thank you for the additional information for Joseph, Olin and James Fleming. It has been added to their memorials. If you would like them transferred to you, just let me know.

RE: Frank W Baketel
I looked around and saw no other Baketel's when I was there.
I don't believe there is a single person buried in the section that Frank Baketel is in that died clear back in the 1920's. That is a newer section of the cemetery than that.
I looked in the paper just now and there were death and funeral stories for her in the paper that say her funeral was done at Portland Memorial Crematorium.
It is called Wilhelm's Portland Memorial now.
The paper did not come right out and say she was interred there but that would be my first best guess.
I downloaded the pages from the paper. They are full pages of the paper in pdf format and the notices for Belle are on the pages. I can email them to you if you want them.
