Bio Photo      I enter records here on Find A Grave for two reasons: First to help others find the graves of lost family members and second to remember our War Hero's who have "Given Their All" for our country!

If you'd like me to fix any of the records that I maintain ... please click on the "Edit" button on the top right of the record, click on "Suggest a Correction" ... Enter your note and/or correction and I'll fix them as quickly as possible.

When requesting a transfer use the edit tab on the memorial and follow the below from F-A-G. Or the request will be ignored.

From F-A-G

"Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made."

I'm currently working on updating and entered Soldiers and Sailors who "Gave Their All" during World War II. To see more on this project please click on my website below...

I originally started researching my Family Tree when my oldest son, Chris, came home from school one day and said that they had to write up their family tree as a project. This, of course, led me to many cemeteries and I quickly became interested in them also.

I've always enjoyed history and the two fell together.

Again, If I've created a record that someone needs deleted (since some families do not want their loved ones on the internet) or that you want me to update please let me know and I'll be glad to update it for you.

I merged the information you sent me into what I already had. The link to his memorial from your website doesn't show the updated memorial, though. I am transferring his memorial to you for management. I know you'll do him justice.

Spoke with the caretaker again. Sadly, the military marker is not there. He believes the family kept it as that was the situation with some others.

RE: Pvt William Norman Gadbois
Russ, I have been doing some homework this morning and learned that PVT. William Norman Gadbois was born August 2, 1925 to Henry Gadbois and Mary Verrier. There is a grave marker for the family in St. Mary's and William is listed as being buried with the family and his name is recorded on the headstone as Norman W. Gadbois. Someone else has already photographed this stone and it is on FindaGrave.

I will ask about the military stone when I go to the cemetery today.

Is this a military stone? I will walk the area to see if it was missed in the recording.

RE: Pvt William Norman Gadbois
Sorry Russ. I met with the caretaker and record keeper yesterday. The cemetery hired a woman to walk the cemetery and record all the markers as well as all the file cards a couple years back. Everything is recorded in a book and there was no listing. Is there anyone else he could have been buried with? I need to go back today to give the caretaker a gift for all his work, so if you give me the name this morning, I can look to see if he is there with somebody else.

Leo was my Uncle
I began researching Leo and his life/death for my mother (Leo Passed before she was born) Leo had a son born in 1939 also named Leo. I am in the process trying to find him or his family. My family and I had the opportunity to visit Uncle Leo's Grave. I would also like to publicity thank the family of Mr. J.V.J. Groenveld, the local family who adopted his gravesite.
