Bio and Links
Bio Photo It is important that we remember those who have lived before us for they have, in many ways, prepared us for who we are today.

Family names Lark, Dee, Heiman, Housman, Loper.

I have a very special spot in my heart for veterans and members of law enforcement. I believe it is important to support our police officers and troops. Where would we be without them?

I believe every memorial should have a virtual flower. When I see one without, I add one; it's an honor to leave my respects. That person was once loved and cherished by someone, somewhere.

Feel free to use any photos. Please do not post death certificates on the memorials.

Wandering among the stones I see
The stones so weathered and worn
‘Tis difficult to find the date
On which the babe was born

I stare at the stone and am struck with awe
At the life that I knew was gone
This was someone's child, a babe so sweet
With loved ones to carry on

So I take a photo for all to see
For the family that remains
An everlasting memory of
A child of God's domain

I brush the weeds back from the stone
And say a silent prayer
For the babes that had no chance to live
And for mothers everywhere

The dove calls out it's mourning song
Among the stones so still
Echoes of the woes, through time
The choirs of despair

The stone will someday perish
The flowers will be gone
But a photo now remains of this
Their memory lives on!

And so my friend, don't hesitate
To film the weathered stone
Those who live within your hearts
Are never truly gone

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Gracie's Grammy, I like the verses in your profile. Are you a poet? Could you tell me does he have a headstone? Im thinking he may not have died in 1912. Thank you, Sue K

David L. Simons
I see that you have recently added a photo of headstone for David L. Simons at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. David is the brother of my best friend and we live in New Jersey. I can't tell you how happy she will be to see a photo of the stone. Thank you so much for all you do on findagrave. Denise

RE: photo
I removed the photo from the memorial of Joseph O'Kelley. He was once interred in Section 1EE Site 228 but was disinterred and reinterred in Section 1QQ. I have sent a request to the owner of the memorial to change the Plot location. Thanks

Kyle Hamby
Kenneth M Hamby
My name is Kyle Hamby I am Ken Hamby's grandson but to me he was my father. He had taken me in from a rough neighborhood and a rough house. He taught me everything a father should teach his son I owe everything that I am to Ken Hamby. He was such a gentle soul with a heart for God and people. I wouldn't be the man I am today without him. He would literally give up everything had to see me succeed. Thank you so much I greatly appreciate it. Thanks to whoever put flowers on the grave as well. I miss him every day. He was my hero.
