Bio and Links
Bio Photo The surnames I am researching include Piper, Gordon, Case, Lowerre, Cordier, Baker, Hodge and Cuddeback, among many others. I am as interested in my collateral branches as I am in direct lineal ancestors. I have a deep connection to the early pioneers and settlers of Sullivan, Orange and Ulster counties of New York.

I will gladly make updates/corrections to any of the memorials I have added to Find A Grave and will transfer those that are not in my family tree. Just be patient as it may take me several weeks to respond. You can use the Edit and Transfer tabs or contact me via email.

The work I have done on this site, and hope to continue, is strictly a genealogical labor of love. When I am in a cemetery looking for my own family I am happy to take photos of other gravestones. Many of the entries I have made come from obituaries or news items that I come across in my research, and therefore may not have a photo attached. I strongly believe in adding such biographical data, even though it may not be accurate, because it sometimes provides that elusive clue, or even a place to start. In many cases I've added memorials but have not had time yet to transcribe the obituary. You are welcome to contact me to ask if I have an obit in my files.

time to go to bed
OK the date is right on the site. Somehow I misread it. Time to close the laptop and go to bed.

Sorry for confusion...Kathy

Sorry for not using edit, but I refuse to utilize Captcha anymore until they fix it.

The death date is incorrect on this monument according to the attached obit with it. The obit states they died the morning the paper came out. It was not unusual to get info in the papers that fast in those days about deaths.

RE: Sauel McCoubray
Hi Vivian !!!
I'm currently working on the entire family.
You can follow my findings on my T&N page !
Other than Sam's father Joseph, this entire family is not documented anywhere !! You can send me private e-mail and I'll send you the pictures and information that I have.

Sauel McCoubray
Hi Vivian.

You have Samuel McCoubray listed as being buried in Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro. He is "NOT" there !!
I am currently studying the family and would like to put them all in their proper places as they are "NOT" recorded anywhere at this time
You can e-mail me @ radelectric@frontier.com and I will gladly share the evidence with you .

Thank- you !
Sincerely: Robert Dunn

William & Bertha Schmitt
Hi there, I'm wondering if you know anything about either William or Bertha Schmitt. My elderly aunt tells me that we're related to them by marriage. Am trying to figure out the relationship. Thanks, Mary Ann

Daniel S. Hawley
Hello Vivian,

Daniel Sturges Hawley was my GGGGrandfather. I have located the records for the incorrect spelling of his name when he was enlisted into the NY 143rd Infantry Co.E. The headstone was government issued and, unfortunately, relied on the original enlistment documentation. The military and pension records are correct.

Daniel's family members are also buried at the same cemetery, including his granddaughter, Anna Moore Buchanan, who was my GGrandmother.

I would like Daniel's middle name "Sturges" included on the memorial as well as all of his family members, which I have.

If it's easier, I can manage his memorial as I am doing extensive research on our Hawley family.

Thank you,

Kara Lee
