|beblake||Mem #112101309 D. Marie Winfrey|
Hello Diane, Memorial #112101309 indicates that D. Marie Winfrey was the daughter of Henry Oscar Suttle and Susan Jane Henry. That is incorrect. They had no such child. However, according to wvculture.org, a daughter named Marie Suttle was born on 6 Apr 1897 to W. Thomas Suttle (25) and Sue Deam Suttle (28), in Williamsburg, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. The linkage of Marie Winfrey to Henry O. and Susan J. Suttle is also on their respective memorials. I will contact the creator of those memorials, as well.

I have added what is perhaps a "family tradition" newspaper article to Minnie's obit page. If you think this is not the right person, or if for some reason you would like the article removed, let me know and I'll take it off.
|Carol Sherbeck Espiritu||Sidney Meredith Stowell|
I have discovered a couple of things. Sidney Meredith Stowell is a male. Charles S. Stowell is his uncle; mother is his sister Carrie Stowell Meredith. As soon as I have the whole story will let you know so you can update the memorials.

Thank you for creating these memorials and posting the tombstone photographs. I think Charles S. Stowell is my Sidney Stowell since his mother also appears to be buried in Fairmount Cemetery. I am troubled by the memorial for Sidney Meredith. Sidney Meredith is inscribed as just that on the tombstone with a Masonic emblem. There is no Stowell on the tombstone. Normally a female would be a member of the Eastern Star not a Mason which makes me wonder if Sidney Meredith is really a female. That along with the fact that Sidney would only have been 14 years old at the time Charles Stowell died makes me doubt that Sidney Meredith is a female. I did find a WWI Draft Card for a Sidney Arthur Meredith with a December 1893 birth date. Could you share with me the reason these two people have been cross referenced as husband and wife? Is there a cemetery record that indicates this is the case? On the other hand I am not coming up with another plausible reason for the two to share a tombstone either. It just seems that the Stowell should have been part of Sidney Meredith's tombstone inscription or a notation indicating the relationship if she was a spouse. The Masonic emblem also has me puzzled. Looking forward to hearing from you.

After looking at ancestry.com, I think you are correct. I have linked Bliss McClintock to Thomas P. Conner. I also think that Margaret Conner, listed in the same cemetery as Thomas Conner, is his spouse, but have not linked Bliss to her yet.

You're welcome for the picture.

It gave me an excuse to go to Marpleton! Plus, I am related to Culips. My great-great-grandmother was Mariah Cutlip Bleigh.
