I have been helping my mother do our family Geneology for a few years now, before her she had other relatives doing it and she just took over where they left off.....My family names include Cook, Mitchell, Baker, Stewart, Hildreth, Chase, Chase, Tramner(nmer), Hull, Warner, and some others too, there is alot. My immediate family was from Boston, MA, Maine, Haverhill, MA, Newton NH, and Cape Cod Chase's. I have later found that through generations, part of the family got its start in Canada(Cook&Stewart, on PEI) and others were Pennsylvania(Volz/Chase), then I have Cape Cod(only Chase family)
Burroughs Photo Kami, Thanks so much for the photo of the Burroughs gravestone. Looks like both George and Mary's gravestones are in the photo. Could you post it on Mary Burroughs' memorial page, too? Thanks again! Much appreciated! - TCW

It's been a few years since I made his memorial but I know that at that time, ancestry.com was my main source of information. I wish I could remember EXACTLY where I got led to Canada, but do remember there was another name that kept popping up with his and that was how I kept track of him web I looked. I don't recall the other persons name though. Now you have me wondering all over again, lol. I do remember that I "stumbled" on him at a point that I thought would be a dead end though. I'll look again. If you do go to City Hall and find out, please keep me posted! I'll do the same.
RE: Greenwood Cemetery, Oakes(pauper) Hi Kami, at the time I made Mr. Oakes memorial, the main source I used for research was Ancestry.com so that is very likely where the information came from. If I remember correctly, I had to forge a trail from a small bit of information the led me to Canada but gave very little other information, other than that he came to the US, and the I hit a dead end. I then went to the cemetery caretakers (who , in actuality shouldn't even be allowed to "care" for it because they DON'T-and I was told that they just didn't have those records any longer. They're utterly useless.
If you like, I could go to Town Hall records and see if they have any additional information.
RE: Benjamin Adams Thank you so much for that info. I have changed the cemetery location. Maybe someone else can find him there, unless you live close by. I don't expect you to travel far to fulfill this request, unless you want to.
