To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....

First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.

Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".

Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.

You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.

Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.

Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!

Passing Through...
Thank you
Linda David... I appreciate all the work you have done on Find A Grave and the loving care you put into the memorials you have created. I mainly involve myself with my own ancestors and descendants, my relatives... and a few friends I wanted to honor when it seemed no one else would do that. That's all. I just wanted to say thank you. You are a breath of fresh air on Find A Grave. (smile)

RE: Thurman Gordon's info
Linda....I have sent your reply to earlier e-mail to the family member who was giving me the information. I feel that she knows far more about this family than you or I since she is a family member.

Also, I would appreciate it if you didn't lecture me on Find A Grave rules and regulations. I don't need that -- in fact I would appreciate it if you just left me alone.

RE: Thurman Gordon's info
A family member gave me the birth/death dates. They also tell me they want to keep his wife's memorial on Find A Grave.
