Bio and Links
Bio Photo The best place to find out where your ancestors came from is get there death cert., or find their head stone.I have been trying to find my ancestors, ever since my Grandmother Edie, gave(1955) what information she had on the family, which she had gotten from her Uncle Frank McCarty . We have gone back East, gone down South,Midwest, and covered the West coast. I have been the family historian and genealogist since about 1985. I try to give credit where I get my information, and not take credit for others work, that is what a true genealogy researcher dose. I have finished my Grandmothers line and sidelines, enough to prove up for DAR. Worked on my husbands line from the South, lots of lost information there, (civil war).
If you use any of my information please make note of where you got it as a references source.
I belive in putting DOCUMENTED information on line and will try to get false information corrected.

Michael McCarty Miller #13171521
There is no tombstone for Michael in the McGuire-Miller Cem.. Maybe you would want to put a note on his memorial so no one will be requesting a photo.
Thanks, Jan in West Laf., Ohio.

Susan Howard womack
I came across Susan Womack & was wondering why you have only 4 children? During my research I came across about 10 children , a few I don't have dates for though. May we compare notes ?
Sarah Creath McSherry Hibbins Stinnett Howard now has a plaque in Texas & I'm trying to spread the word of the ceremony taking place in spring 2013 for her. As I'm spreading the word I'm also trying to triple check my information as I'm still missing some information.
Hope to hear from you soon .

McCarty headstone Evergreen cemetery Fairfield Iowa
Judy,
Several years ago you put in a flower tribute for Sarah Ann Workman McCarty (# 5707866) at Evergreen cemetery here in Fairfield,Iowa where I live (Fairfield, not the cemetery).

Nobody had taken a headstone for her since the memorial was originally made in 2001. I was taking headstone photos yesterday for some other McCarty surnames (that I don't think are related) and I just went ahead and took photos for all of the remaining McCarty surnames while I was at it.

I've posted a headstone photo to her memorial - it is joint with a son Morgan McCarty, so I made a memorial for Morgan and linked to Sarah and her husband David (who is buried elsewhere).

Just thought I'd let you know in case you were still interested in the McCarty or Workman families here in Jefferson county, Iowa.

His 2nd wife was my Great Grandma. I was hoping you may have photos of them together. Did you get to meet her? (Maude)
Thanks
