|Robert Hague||RE: Matt Parrott grave|
Thank you for your note. On the Texas Death Certificate for Matt Parrott it gives the name of the cemetery as the German Cemetery. That is what the Washington Cemetery was known years ago. The place of death is shown as Houston, Harris Co., Texas. I have done a great deal of work in this cemetery and have made friends of a couple of the Washington Cemetery board member who also serve as cemetery historians. They are as confused about this as well as I am. Some of the older cemetery records are missing. The information on the death certificate is only as good as the informant. In this case it is a Mr.McNabb from City Hall. My guess is that he probably did not know much about Matt Parrott. Is it possible for you to check with the cemetery in Garrison to see if they have a record of interment? I sent you a "href' link in a prior email to do a 'copy paste' to link these to Find A Grave memorials together. If I need to send it to you again, please let me know. The Find A Grave memorial number for Matt Parrott in the Washington Cemetery is: 69109921. You can take a look at this memorial to see how I have linked it to the memorial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The work that you are doing for Find A Grave is appreciated, and your help in resolving which memorial is the cenotaph memorial would be great.

If I may so inquire, what is your relationship to John Wesley Sanders (1848-1922). He was my great-great-grandfather.

Hi Gerry, my name is Gerry also. Clyde Harrell McQuagge was my Great-Grandmother. I remember Grandma and 'Dunk' very well. We called him Dunk.My question is, is the infant boy buried at the McQuagge Cem name D.T.Jr or Dalphus Theodore? I have seen it listed both ways.I found a spread sheet at the Blountstown Library with the name Dalphus Theodore. Thank you.

Gerry, you are very welcome. When I was 17 years old, and living in Ridgeway, I repaired the top of his monument, which had been knocked off, for my Eagle Scout project. Now, 40 years later and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, I felt it my duty to do this. Would he happen to be an ancestor of yours?? Drew

Your welcome! I'm so grateful for this website & love to help however & whenever I can. I'm sorry there's no gravesite for Alice.
|Les Ballinger||RE: Bodin Photos|
You are very welcome. Did you look at Christine Bodin's memorial page? She is buried in the same Lot as Rev. Bodin and was 36 years old. I found her marker under a tree near by lying on the ground. She may be the Rev's daughter. The round marker has a stem that goes into the ground. I don't know why is was removed. Best Regards, Les
