George Washington Clapp 1877-1936
Hi, I am Sue Clapp Johnson suejohnson9243@gmail.com You have John Clapp 1941 as father of George Washington Clapp. That is incorrect, George W Clapp Jr's dad was George Washington Clapp Sr born 1839. George Senior's wife is Martha C Gibbs. Their children were Maud, Lucretia, Martha, George W Clapp Jr, Violet Hazel,

John Clapp and George W Clapp are
brothers and they had a brother Calvin who died at an early age. Their parents were William Clapp and Lucretia Smith.
Please change it in Find a grave.
I had sent you an email. Did you receive it? You can reach me at suejohnson9243@gmail.com
My dad is Webster Ballenger Clapp and his dad is George Washington Clapp 1877 and his dad is George Washington Clapp born 1839.

RE: James W. Pelly
Supposed to be more stone with inscriptions near a tree line. Hopefully I can find more. Long story about bulldozing. I heard a wife was buried with him, but he was only 18 when he died?...

James W. Pelly
Found a grave out in a field today in Pellyton. Reads as follows: James W. Pelly Son of H & E Pelly. June 29, 1817. Nov 20, 1865. (I think it's James Madison Pelley, but I'm not sure.) Also, many slave stones. Not finding enough luck on ancestry.com, please advise. Thanks.

RE: Hartsfield Cemetery, Gibson, Tennessee
You are very welcome. My husband's mother was Julia Rudisill Gravlee & he had relatives there, so just photographed all the Rudisill or Rudisill related markers that were still legible. It was a lovely little cemetery. We travel in our motor home and did that one on a trip from SC. to AL....a bit off route, but that's not unusual for us! Diane Gravlee

Charles Conrad Brown
June, my grandfather was Charles' brother, Alanson Brown. I went to the archives at VMI and noticed two things: there is a complete biography for Alanson, class of 1912, and while Charles was a BG, there is scarcely any bio. Wouldn't you think there would be more on Charles? I have always heard that he was a very private person. Also, the archives say he was in the class of 1910.
