I WILL NOT go through your written request line by line and make updates. Such emails will be disregarded. If you have a family link, use that update request, a city of birth, there's one for the too. |
I have been researching my family history since 1995. I love this stuff. It is super exciting to uncover a nugget of information that you didn't know about before.
I live in the Detroit area and in my spare time (hehe) travel to some cemeteries where I have ancestors. On those occasions I try to be prepared to take pictures of some graves of interest, but it is most helpful if you have plot information and even a map, as most of my trips happen on weekends when offices are closed. Any of the pictures or other information that I have posted to findagrave.com can be used by anyone for whatever NON-PROFIT purpose they would like. NO PHOTOS OR INFORMATION MAY BE USED FOR PROFIT PURPOSE. I would appreciate recognition for any information or photos you do use, and if possible, a link or copy of the work.

You are awesome! Thanks!
Are you related to the Halleads?
This branch is an off shoot of mine. I am the 3rd great granddaughter of John Hallead and Agnes Sculley...putting together a Society of Mayflower Descendants application.

I have never used family search -- just ancestry, seekingmichigan, and a couple of others. I have located an image of index cards but not the actual obituary. How can I search to get it?
Also, his first wife, Beatrice Ford, didn't die until 1940. He married Lela Hecox in 1942. I was unaware of the third marriage.
Thanks for your help.

I believe the Myron D. Hallead #149169210 in Maple Grove is the same person as the Myron D. Hallead #140499363 in Elmwood. There are pictures for both but no death date on the one in Maple Grove.
Both of his wives are buried in Maple Grove.
Beatrice Bertha Ford (#149169204)
d. 17 Jan 1940 in Flint (via seekingmichigan)
m. 9 Nov 1921 in Lapeer (via MI Mar.)
Lela Hecox (#149169208)
m. 27 Jun 1942 in Grand Rapids (via MI Mar.)
His MI Death record...
Name: Myron Hallead
Birth Date: 21 Jul 1897
Death Date: 11 Jul 1972
Residence: Wayland, Allegan, Michigan
Place of Death: Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan
Also, there is an obituary listed in an index but it's only available through the mail or in person. That may confirm my theory.
P.S. I am done with the Maple Grove Halleads for a bit. I was just following up on photos I took during a recent visit. Thanks for your work!
