I have been into this hobby over 30 years and never get tired of it. It's a hobby that always will receive "new subjects". I must give accolades to my graving "homies": Arthur Koykka (RIP), Scott Wilson, Richard Silverman (RIP), Roger Sinclair(RIP), David Lotz (RIP), Kim Eazell, Jim Dougan, and David Brown. They don't all post here, but they do know their stuff when it comes to researching burials.
Re: Adelman burial information Hi Chuck, thank you so much for the information regarding Bob Adelman's final resting place. I have been scouring the internet looking for the information so am grateful for your information. Hope that you have had a Blessed Easter season. Helen
RE: Bill Martz He's not listed as being buried there, but could be and no one has entered him yet. I checked the SSDI and their is a Richard H Martz b. 3/15/1938 d. 8/25/2011. I don'r know if that's him though. Donna
RE: William D Martz I checked the Social Security Death Index and Their is no Wm D Martz dying in 1998. Their is one in Lancaster that died on the date listed on the stone. I don't personally know them, but I'll check with the cemetery. Donna
RE: Jimmy Burke I think you're right.. although they both died in 1996, James J Burke was interned on April 18.. DOD was April 13.. and yes your DOB is correct.. All we know for sure is their date of death especially when they die in prison. Another issue was Burke’s real last name being Conway.. Most gangsters lie about their true age, their name etc. making their graves difficult to locate. Their RAP sheets often consist of multiple names which is why they are only identified by their NYSID.
Ronnie Kieffer Are you sure he was born and died on the same day? I had looked and found no death record for him on the index, which usually records such births/deaths even if the child only lived for a few minutes. I am not doubting you, just curious about your source. The California Death Index does not include stillborns, only babies who would have had a birth record and death certificate issued.
