Dr. Mary Bassett Thank you for sponsoring Dr. Mary's memorial-While my daughter was at the baseball "hall of fame", I roamed the cemetery-asked the caretaker if there were any "famous" people buried there and he pointed out her grave-I had never heard of her and almost passed it by but overcomed by curiousity I sought it out. Interesting enough her parents were both physicians in the 1800's and her father felt educating children was cheaper then incarcerating them Another young woman's stone just said "the wife of Dr. Howe" after I entered the memorial, a f/g volunteer found out her given name "Margaret" and her wedding annoucement -Now she is her own, not just someone's wife. Another interesting family were the Clark's - Alfred Corning Clark, heir to the Singer (sewing machine) fortune - He died in his sleep, married less than two weeks ago for the sixth time,. His bride, artist and actress, is Alicia Darr Purdom, former wife of actor Edmund Purdom Researching found some scandalous information about her and J.F.Kennedy- Thanks again
Anika James sponsorship Thank you for sponsoring this beautiful memorial. I have recently added updates of the grave monument which has been placed on her grave. It is such an unusual but outstanding memorial to a very gifted person. Robert
Andrew Peik memorial Thank you for sponsoring this memorial. I just added the obit to it. He's a distant relative on my Uncle's side of the family. I found it interesting that he was a teacher. I majored in education and worked as a school and public librarian.
