I am a native of the Grand Prairie of eastern Arkansas. I currently live east of the eastern Memphis city limits in Tennessee. My wife and I both received Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

The cemeteries that will receive my most attention will be in the following counties in Arkansas: Arkansas County, Lincoln, Cleveland, Montgomery, and Garland. I pretty much wear out the pavement between home and Fayetteville and Hot Springs, but my time is limited on those weekend trips.

I also have ancestral interests in southern Missouri, eastern Kansas, and Kentucky but won't find time for any trips there for a good while.

I do find myself offering more attention to veterans, though my Moore paternal line has been amazingly unscathed by military conflict since emigrating from the Irish province of Ulster in 1717. (Knock on wood). I feel especially indebted. Many thanks to our veterans and the families of the fallen.

I am quite fascinated with The Greatest American Tragedy – the Civil War. My Moore ancestors were Yankees that moved from western New York through Michigan to Kansas in 1855 to avert Kansas becoming a slave state. I have a number of other ancestors that fought on each side.

Surnames that I have a particular family interest are: Randel, Chapin, Moore, Craig, Settle, and Crest. I am also researching my wife's families: Scott, Morgan, Blasengame, Rankin, Bulkley, Eichelberger, and McGraw. If you share a common interest in any of these families, I'd like to hear from you.
