We had a successful disinterment and reinterment of Jacob Youtcy in Kelvin/Kearny, Arizona. Over 300 people attended the funeral. Horses, caisson, Civil War re-enactors, Catholic priest in period vestments, the train honked as it went past the cemetery and two military planes flew over the parade and waggled their wings at Jacob as we went through town. Over 100 of his descendants and their families attended as well. God gave us a fantastically humbling day.

A Standers Affirmation

I made mistakes. Horrible ones. And poor choices. And was selfish and arrogant and lazy at times. I thought I was giving everything to my wife and marriage and children, but now I see so many places I could have done better, done more, made better choices, used kinder words.

I am still in love with my wife. I said "for better or for worse" and meant it. I said "in good times and in bad" and meant it. And I said "until death do us part" and I meant it. I still mean those things.

I will not speak angry words to my wife or about my wife. I will not use the children as pawns. I will not return slights with slights. I will speak love and goodness to her, about her.

So I am "standing" for our marriage. What that really means is I'm kneeling in prayer for our marriage. I will trust in God's faithfulness and His ability to do ANYTHING, including change hearts and reroute divorce. I was wrong in so many ways. Please forgive me, Barbara. I love you.

Good Afternoon!
It looks like my great grandmother has a duplicate entry. Could you please remove 57470447 and make sure the links go to 113224040? This is the one that is being kept updated! This is my first time with a request, so I hope it makes sense!
Regards,

Minnie Maud Gandy
Dear Daryl and Barbara: On Oct. 21, 1976 we were visiting Helvetia from Colorado. My father took a photo of Minnie Maude Gandy's grave. My mother's maiden name was Gandy and so she was of particular interest. Today, March 1, 2014 I took the photo from my special photo box once again and wondered about the little girl and her saddened family. I then thought I wonder if Find A Grave has any information on her. I was sure I was not going to find anything. But, imagine my great surprise to see all the information and photos! I am going to share this information with my parents, who are now in their mid 80's. They will be so tickled. I also now have additional information to see how or if this family is related to my mother's family of Gandy. Thank you and the other people involved for all their work. By the way, brother's name is Darroll. I think Daryls are good people!
Sincerely, Debby Y.

His number is 110402125. If he's not your relative, would you consider transferring him to me? He's my husband's relative and I've been working on his tree. Thank you so much. My #46983684

Aurel Stein
Thanks much for the info to add to the Aurel Stein memorial. My apologies for the delay in putting it up... a new baby will certainly get in the way of things! Do appreciate your assistance... if he is kin, please let me know and I'd be happy to transfer.

RE: Re: Your Silent Treatment
Very sorry to learn of the distress in your personal life. In light of this knowledge I offer my sincerest apology for posting negative feedback. Considering that you have thousands of graves to manage, it must be a tremendous burden to keep up with the correspondence.

Victor Maki information

Hello,

If and when you have the time, I have some information I would like added to the memorial of Victor Maki (Memorial# 82929031).

Born: Viktor Hermanni Matinpoika Kivela on May 31, 1878 in Lapua, Finland. Viktor immigrated to the United States in 1894 and settled in Fitchburg, Worchester Co, Massachusetts. In 1899 Viktor married Lyydia Konstantintytar Pokela (who had also immigrated from Finland), and started a family. Falling on hard times, in early 1906, Viktor left his family behind in Massachusetts and came to Colorado looking for work. He wasn't here long before he was stabbed to death.
Viktor left behind his wife, Lyydia, and two small children, a son, Victor, born 1901, and a daughter, Virra, born 1900.

Thank you for your time

Getreuer/Hahn in Austria
I see you have three Getreuer's submitted to Find a Grave in Austria. I'm looking for
records of Rudolph and Kitty Hahn Getreuer (divorced) and Siegfried Hahn,
Kitty's uncle. I have a letter from Siegfried Hahn to my grandfather,
George Hahn in Chicago, dated 1939 from Vienna. I am trying to see how they
connect; we are reasonably sure they were not related - but who knows? My grandfather, George Hahn
was employee and manager of Golde Clothes in New York, Allentown, Pa., and Chicago in the 1920's and 1930's.
