Bio

I've been doing genealogy for about 30 years or so, and history has always been a passion of mine. I'm captivated by the old days, the old ways of getting things done, the day-to-day lives of those extraordinary "just plain folks" who once walked and talked in a world that's now left to our imagination. It amazes me how severe hardships were overcome just to stay alive back then. But sadly, so many children didn't survive the ordeal. History is filled with an infinite number of stories of personal loss and grief--no family is immune. One thing I have learned through the years is that life then, as now, is a very precious gift. It's up to the living to make the most of it while we can. I do it through history (and a lot of daydreaming) . . .
