Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.

I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.

My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley.
I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.

Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.

Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.

A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

RE: Elizabeth Jane & Sarah Jane
Jerry's grandmother Guilla Ann Mason (w/o Adam W. Wilson) was the daughter of Sanford Mason and Elizabeth Jane Williams of Monangalia Co., W.Va; Elizabeth Jane was the daughter of Coverdill Williams & Sarah Jane Headley, both b. in Greene Co., Pa. Sarah Jane was the daughter of Phineas Headley, son of John and grandson of our very own( and your ancestor as well) Ephraim.

RE: John T. Headlee
Olin: Don't worry, we spelled Headley correctly in the SAR app.! We were able to get deeds and other family history documents from the historical society which provided the final documentation needed;
Ephraim is Jerry's ancestor on his paternal grandmother's side..her mother was Elizabeth Jane Williams, daughter of Sarah Headley. Helen

RE: John T. Headlee
Hi Olin: Thought I'd let you know that my husband, Gerald T. Wilson, became a member of the SAR based on his relationship to Ephraim Headley. WE were able to get the final documentation needed from the Greene Co. historical society which is a great resource. Still hoping to get down to PA to get a picture of the graves. Hope you are well. Helen

RE: George Hill
I wanted to let you know that I photographed the other Hill family stones that were in the row along with George. I have Mary Ruth Hill, Bobby Jones Hill and Paul Hill, if you would like them. I posted pics for Grace Ruby Hill and Daily F Hill on Findagrave, also.

You are most welcome, Olin! I know the wind and sun weren't being the most cooperative, but at least I got some photos for you! Blessings, Barb

RE: Talkington Transfers
I am slowly trying to transfer these Distant Cousins in my care since I do not have that close of a relationship.

RE: Nancy Barton Herrick
Olin, after reading what you had listed as the inscription for Joseph and Sally, I went back to the Yucatan Cemetery and was able to locate the stone. It is very hard to read but the late-afternoon light helped a lot. I have added the photos to the pages with the inscription as I could read it. I could not make out the delicate inscription on the very bottom of the stone.
