Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.

I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.

My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley.
I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.

Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.

Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.

A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

RE: Ransom Leonard Barton
I just found Rensselaer Ward (RW) Barton. He is buried in Hiawatha Cemetery, Owego, Tioga Co. NY. He is FindAGrave #146-545-776.

I have not been able to find his 2nd wife Harriet L. (English) Barton. His first wife Anna M.(Phillips) has a stone in the Appleton MN Cem.

RW's father Rensselaer Barton (1815-1898) is buried in the Hiawatha Cem. He is Find A Grave #107927502

RW's mother, and Rensslaer's 1st wife was Nancy Ann (Currier) Barton (1819-1860). She is #146621-505.

Rensselaer's 2nd wife, Effa Ann (Frear) (1836-1911) shares a stone with him.

He may be from a different branch of the Barton tree, or even unrelated. In the late 1800's there were quite a few Bartons living in Appleton MN.

RE: Nellie E. Hartley
FYI, adjacent to Nellie Hartley's grave are the graves of James Hartley (1858-1919) and Alice Hartley (1864-1948).

RE: Ransom Leonard Barton
Do you have any information on Renselaer Ward Barton and his second wife Harriet L. (English) Barton?

He died in Owego, Tioga Co. NY on 22Jan1931. Do not know where he is buried.

In the 1920 census, they were living in Philadelphia. By the 1930 census, he was living with his son Charles in Buffalo, Erie Co NY and was widowed.

I don't know when and where she died.

Can you help out on these questions?

RE: Greenwood Cemetery
I'm sorry for the delay. My photos were deleted and I haven't had an opportunity to go back. I'll go Monday, on my day off so you can have the updated information. The location is Greenwood Cemetery. It's off of FM 80 in Teague, TX. Monday, I'll post everything, including a map to the gravesite. Once again, I do apologize for the wait.

Hi Olin,
You're most welcome. Glad I could do it. We had a snap of warm weather so I got out there and took photos then got busy and didn't get them cropped and posted. Decided last night that since I had already lost the claim, I should get them done. They were all still there for me to fulfill.

RE: David A. Smith

I noticed that David A. Smith was in a group of Smiths. Mary Smith, Elmer F. Smith, Thomas Smith, Tamar Smith, William L. Smith and also a Vera Smith Gregory. I took pictures of all of them and downloaded the ones that have a site but could not locate Vera Smith Gregory in find a grave. If she is yours and you create a site for her, I will download the picture. I noticed that their are numerous request for Baker but I could only get the ones that gave me a location.
