Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, brake fluid or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site not a genealogy site. I try to use this as my guide when on this site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still actively looking for where the person is actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

Un Marked gravestones
Hello Gary! Hope all has been good. I thought you may add fuel for the thought I always revisit. I would like to hear your understanding of a common FAQ. I want to enter some Un marked gravestones. These are graves. I generally may do Unarked1, 2 etc, or Unkown1, 2 etc. I have four, four square old delaminated black field stones. 1/2-FT. They by all purposes, are a family plot. My pet project is on my profile, Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

RE: Boutons
Gary, I do not know of any in the immediate Bovina area and don't recall any living in Bovina in my lifetime. There are four in the phone book in places like Andes, New Kingston, and Arkville. Please send me an e-mail at and I'll send you the phone numbers. Ray

RE: Bouton family
Off the top of my head I don't remember. I only live about 10 minutes away. When the snow is a little more gone I'd be glad to go out there and check and take pictures if they are there.

Thank you for transferring the memorial of Sarah Jarvis (Brush) McLaughlin. It is deeply appreciated. Also, thank you for your work in this endeavor to help others find the interments of their family members.

RE: Boughton
No, unfortunately the Boughton name ended with my mother's brother in 1943 during WWII. She is the only living "real" Boughton - age 93. She has 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One of her grandchildren was born in Danbury CT which is a big reason I want to know more about our relatives.

Thank you Gary for the transfer of my 5th great-aunt's memorial. I have added a bio and have united her with her family. Thank you for finding her and establishing her memorial.
Warmest regards,

RE: Boughton
Yes, I am a Boughton. My mother's maiden name is June Boughton. Her father was Edwin M Boughton. Her grandfather was Edwin C Boughton and her great grandfather was Henry D Boughton. He was born in CT in 1810 or 1811. I have traced ancestors back to John Boughton. I would like to know more about the Boughtons from CT since I have lived here for 40 years. Would love to find living relatives. Who are you related to?
