I have traveled in the United States to 32 States and have been to 9 countries. I grew up in Illinois, lived in Exmouth, Australia,(about 800 miles North of Perth) and Whidbey Island, Washington, while serving in the U.S. Navy! I served four years, 1979-1983. I like visiting Celebrity Cemeteries! The names listed in my 'Virtual Cemeteries' are of grave-sites I have personally visited. However, in the section entitled, 'People I have Met', I have only been to Maila Nurmi's grave-site, in that list. Where some Celebrities, for example, may have been both a singer & an actor, I listed them in the venue 'They' were most famous for! I am affiliated with SAG-AFTRA (The Screen Actors Guild merged with The American Federation of Television and Radio Artist in March of 2012, I have been a member of both since 2006). The photo is a picture of my rescue 'puppy', Ty! I also am an Animal Activist & vegan.|

...for your services to the Find A Grave community. As a Courage Campaign affiliate, I especially appreciate your honoring Harvey Milk and Scott Smith.
Getting to see and visit your memorial to Benny Benson was a pleasant surprise for me, too. I read "Benny's Flag" when I was in elementary school and have always been touched by the story of Benny changing history by designing Alaska's flag when he was only an elementary school-age kid himself.
If you have a moment to spare, please visit the virtual grave of my cousin, Troy William Cole. He was a Navy veteran like you.
