|I am retired from JCPenneys after 19 Years.|
I like to sew, walk cemeteries, work on our family trees and watch our 3 grandsons.
I add these memorials in hopes that everyone will be remembered, especially our veterans.
The surnames I am researching are: Burgess, Clanton, Lauderdale, Savage, White, Ellison, Jenkins, Tuley, Tumlinson, MacKellar, Howard, Gunn, Winn and a few more. Most of the the memorials I have added here on find a grave I am not kin to and do not know about their family history. I just hope that if their family is looking for them that I have helped them be found.
If I have made any errors please let me know so I can correct it and any info. you would like added please let me know and I will do my best to get it added quickly or if you would like a relatives memorial transferred to you let me know.

I have not found those graves, but I need more information on this family. Can we share info. Contact me at email@example.com. You and I are 4th cousins 1x removed with our common ancestors being Charles Tuley/Frances Mays. Looking forward to exchanging information. Do you have a picture of Charles & Frances?

Katy, thank you so much for taking a picture of "PaPa's" gravesite. He was my father-in-law, a true hero of WWII, a leader in his church, and a very kind and giving man. It was an honor to have known him. Bless you, and thank you again. ~MaryLee Holder

|Mark Gaines Miles||Mims - Randle|
The Mims family and the Randle family have been interconnected for many years. Their farms were next to each other. They travelled from NC together to Lowndes Co, MS in the very early 1800's.

Good Morning Katy! I am in Lowndes County now and have been working on the cemetery since Tuesday. When I arrived, I was shocked! A massive oak tree had fallen across the grave of Rev. Wiatt Randle, Sarah Randle, Rev. Nathaniel Lawrence, etc. The beautiful 8' X 10' massive cast iron fence surrounding the Randle's graves has been shattered and has been removed. I am going to haul the pieces back to Florida in hopes to have an identical fence replaced at this site. For a detailed account, please like me on Facebook at Mark Gaines Miles. It has been a most interesting trip. Also, a good friend currently owns the Mims Place and I have spent a bit of time driving across the beautiful land with him.

Hello Katy, I looked through my tombstone photographs and I don't know why I don't have a close-up shot of Sister Sarah's stone. I can tell you that I will be posting one shortly though. I and some of the Randle and Lawrence relatives that I have not met are meeting at the cemetery to do clean-up work. The date will be November 12th. If any other relatives would like to join us that would be great. One of my main projects will be to repair and reset the stone for Reverend Wyatt Randle. Once the work is done, I will update the cemetery and stone photos with current ones. If not too cold, my plan is to pitch a tent and stay there. I think it would be fun, who knows, I might get a message.
