If you're in the flower-laying mood, please visit my grandparents, June Burns, Ralph Burns, and Gerald "Pete" Soderquist, as well as my Uncle Clay Hesser. |
I am afraid that, following some rather disturbing emails (sorry, Jim, it got worse), I feel that I need to remove my address from this page. If you need to contact me about any of my I'm more than happy to transfer interments to interments or what have you, please leave a message by clicking below.

My Grandmother was Carl's sister. I can remember my Great Grandmother Iola telling about little Carl and crying. I would love it if you could transfer Carl's memorial to me.
My Grandmother was born Iola Elizabeth McCarty and she married Carl Grant Coon and they had Little Carl Grant Coon and he died.
They later divorced and she Married Daniel Ivan Doty and had My Grandmother and her three sisters.
Later after Dan died she married Jesse McMullen.
Iola's memorial is at 120568183.

Found your bio page by looking at your memorial for Annie Edson Taylor. Very nice... Then decided to add a floral tribute to your Grandparents memorials, and what a shocker to discover they were buried in Overton Cemetery of all places. My husband, his brother & father all graduated from Overton High School..... Someimes it truly is a very small world, or at least a very small town.... :)

Wow! Came across this while looking for my uncle who died as in infant while my Grandpa was serving at Fort Jackson!
Interesting Stuff......now I want to look further into the history here.
My grandparents lived in Columbia in the early 50's, transplanted from small town Iowa. It was the days of intense segregation. Things I can hardly imagine and my grandmother doesn't like to speak of it much now, even in her 80's.
Thanks! These are the links we need that make Find A Grave an important tool, linking our past to the present and the present to our future.
You are a gem! Much thanks!

Thank You so much for bringing this cemetery to the contributor's attention, and your listings.. so we can memorialize these souls. The state of South Carolina should be ashamed of themselves. I know I am ashamed of them!!!!!
Please transfer memorial #7223990 Charles Fay to #48131163. This is an indirect line I collaborate with living descendants to complete genealogy and trace migration trails. Thank you for honoring ancestors!
