Bio Photo Hi!

A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!

Update: Married my best friend, My Ed, Oct 3, 2014 and am now officially a "new" person lol

If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!

From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

RE: L.S. Endicott
Many thanks for the transfer of Jeremiah, Colleen. There's just one problem: although I'm happy to manage the memorial and administer TLC, you guessed wrong about my being related to him. I'm not. I was just trying to round up children of John and Ann Endecott/Endicott and get them linked to the parents, and Jeremiah was one of them. If you would like Jeremiah transferred back to you, just say the word. No problem.

And, you're absolutely right, both about the possibility of replacement tombstones and about how long it takes. I did it for my great-great-grandfather who was a Surgeon (that was his rank) for an Indiana regiment. He died in Texas, was buried near a creek, later moved to a national cemetery in Galveston that turned out to be prone to flooding, later moved to a national cemetery in Louisiana, and buried with a tombstone that said SGT instead of SURGEON. When I inquired, at first the cemetery officials said they could install a new tombstone, but it would have to have the same SGT error, because they weren't authorized to change anything, even if they agreed it was wrong! Only after I appealed to Washington DC did I find somebody bright enough to authorize a new stone with the correct word on it. I'm not sure, but I think a request for a new stone for Jeremiah would have to come from a relative of his. Thanks again. - Jay

Thank you for filling my photo request for him. I can't tell if the stone is facedown or what. Was there an inscription? Sorry I am on my phone and just can't tell. Thank you again

Can you transfer the photo you have for 64880183 to 60274422? I have a duplicate and want to ensure the original post has the photos.

RE: Sugar Grove
you have a great day too! I've been trying to get the burial records corrected and families linked for Sugar Grove for a while now. Its a continual and ongoing process. At some point, I'd love to have the memorials all virtual flowered and pictures of tombstones posted - of at least the location if none exist. I was doing that yesterday for Cynthia Farmer. One photograph took care of 3 unmarked graves.

I did happen to run across a field rock that was used as burial marker for my 3rd great grandfather Temple Montgomery. I had not seen the rock in all my years going there. I previously thought this to be an unmarked grave.
