Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site NOT a genealogy site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason. Not a difficult concept.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

Gary, Thank you so much for the Converse marker photos an permission to use as I like. Most likely only in my Family Tree but you most assuredly will be given credit, as stated!

Most Grateful!

RE: Ruth Seymour Smith
Hi Gary

My greatgrandmother was Anna Sarepta Boughton 1825-1897. She married Elbridge Gerry Webb. My father, her grandson, was named Leroy Boughton Webb. Anna's Boughton ancestors were David 1795, David 1757, Matthew 1735, Eleazer 1700, John 1659, John 1636 and John 1610. Love this stuff. If I can ever be of help, please let me know. I'm in Kansas City so not too available to do New England cemeteries.

Thanks for responding. I had also advised the other memorial just in case.

ps: My father d. 1940 so I never got to know him. His middle name was Boughton--LeRoy Boughton Webb. I've been trying to clean up my Boughton side of the tree and really appreciate the job you do.

I am so sorry I could not get a better picture for you. I added the photo of the tree in front of the stone but feel free to remove it. I wanted you to see it in case you were ever looking for it.

Lobdell, Julia Harrison. The Lobdell Genealogy. Chicago: Windermere Press, 1907.

She wrote hundreds of letters to Lobdell family members around the turn of the century and compiled them in to a large family history.

Page 50 is where is talks about Frances and her husband Lucius. Apparently Lucius was one of the respondents to her requests and described his former wife as "She was a true wife and a noble woman"

RE: William DeForest
Thank you for the information. I will contact her/him about it - I think it is a mistake; there was another Isaac Turney in Fairfield, perhaps this grave wasn't found.
