A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.|
Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....
I will not use chalk, shaving cream, or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.
Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site NOT a genealogy site.
I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still looking for where they are actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason. Not a difficult concept.
Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

No, unfortunately the Boughton name ended with my mother's brother in 1943 during WWII. She is the only living "real" Boughton - age 93. She has 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One of her grandchildren was born in Danbury CT which is a big reason I want to know more about our relatives.

Thank you Gary for the transfer of my 5th great-aunt's memorial. I have added a bio and have united her with her family. Thank you for finding her and establishing her memorial.

Yes, I am a Boughton. My mother's maiden name is June Boughton. Her father was Edwin M Boughton. Her grandfather was Edwin C Boughton and her great grandfather was Henry D Boughton. He was born in CT in 1810 or 1811. I have traced ancestors back to John Boughton. I would like to know more about the Boughtons from CT since I have lived here for 40 years. Would love to find living relatives. Who are you related to?
I found the Boughtons in the Main Street Cemetery in Danbury CT and in Brooklyn NY at the Greenwood Cemetery. Several of these people are my relatives and I would like to know if you have more information especially people who are living today.

My name is Sandy. My great great grandmother & grandfather were Harriet and Joseph Hickok. Is there any way you can get a picture of what is left of their head stones ?

I appreciate any help. Thank you

I noticed that you managed Diadama's memorial and that you had the same last name. I am a professional gravestone conservator specializing in restoration and cleaning of historic gravestones. If you would like a free estimate to straighten Diadama's stone let me know.

Green Lawn. The cemetery has no record but, if George was cremated at Green Lawn his ashes may never have been buried and may be in the lower level of the Chapel in the Permanent Storage. I have asked for someone to make a search down there. The ashes are by date on the shelves.
I was surprised to find that I had family there.
You may need to contact the cemetery if I don't get an answer back.
