Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE!
Also, I've had quite a number of requests from people who think I also do free research. No, I don't. I take headstone photos and try to make sure cemeteries are complete and online. I have other hobbies. I don't do paid research either.
Thank you.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

Eli Butler's daughters
Kathy, please contact me, as my ancestor is Missouri Butler Woosley, the daughter of Eli Butler - the daughter that you are missing.

Harriett belonged to his 2nd wife Agnes, but was not his - she did however grow up and marry a Butler, as I recall.

Eli and first wife Sallie had daughters Missouri, Indiana, Louisiana, and the last America, I believe Sallie and America died about the same time.

I am sorry
I had posted a request for a photo of Ehtelred Dickens memorial. Findagrave told me you searched for the monument and could not find one. Thank you very much for looking. I will remove the request so no one else will search for it. I hope the information is correct and that he is actually buried there.

RE: Reedy Creek
Hi, thanks for the directions. I was hoping to find the physical address, but can't seem find it online and I thought since you have been there, you might know it. These little country churches can be hard to find if you don't know the area.
thanks again,

Ambrose Dickens
His dc shows Dora Forkner as the informant. I'm guessing Dora was his daughter based upon the 1930 Fed Census showing Ambrose, Fannie and Dora as the family unit. Ambrose's dc shows him as a widower. I found a dc for Fannie Thompson Dickens which shows she died in 1934 but was listed as a widow buried in the Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy (Nannie Thompson is shown as the informant). Besides, it gives her father's name as Daniel Dickens! There is either a major screw-up here or it's a different Fannie. In conclusion, if Dora, the informant on his dc, was his daughter I can't imagine her messing up his birthdate and surely not his deathdate unless the engraver made the error from bad info provided to him. So far, the only info on his stone closely relative to him are the two initials of his name and even they are reversed. The 1930 census gives his name as "Ambras F. Dickens". To be honest, I don't know what to believe now.

Reedy Creek
Hi Kathy,
I have noticed that you have taken photos at Reedy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery in Davidson. I have searched and searched and cannot seem to find this cemetery online. Would you happen to know the address of the church?
Thank you

Ambrose Dickens
I'm inclined to agree with you so far, Kathy, but I want to dig into it a little further. The birth date is not an issue with me however the death date is. Were you able to find his spouse in the same area??? I'm guessing they would've been buried together or certainly nearby. In any event, I'll get back with you to let you know if I find anything. Good possibility that we'll leave the stone where it is and I'll add a "note" to the bio. We'll see. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks for your effort in trying to find my relatives. Their death certificates list Oak Grove Cemetery, so I assume they are there without headstones.
