Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE!
Also, I've had quite a number of requests from people who think I also do free research. No, I don't. I take headstone photos and try to make sure cemeteries are complete and online. I have other hobbies. I don't do paid research either.
Thank you.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

RE: Barbara Boon
Thank you for your quick responses! I was hoping you could help verify her name. I have seen her name as "Bohn" on ancestor websites, but no one has records.:( Either way it looks like your son and I share a great great grandmother and grandfather:) Also..on Memorial# 49665430 you posted a story by John J Schneider(M/TAnna Reiner) about homesteading in North Dakota... he was my great grandfather! I understand it was a while ago, but if you happen to remember, I am very interested! Thank you again!

Barbara Boon
Hi Kathy!
My 2x Great Grandmother was Barbara Reiner(Boon). I was wondering how you came by the name Boon and
Franciscus(Franz) & Dorothea Mayer Boon? I have seen their names on some ancestory sites, but I can not find any actual records. Usually the name is Franz Bohn and Dorthea Mayer I would love to solidify this link with Franz Bohns! I welcome any insight or any other information. Thanks!

Sarah Ann Foster Casper
Find A Grave#23962094
I wanted to know if you are related to Sarah Ann Foster Casper. In 1850 she was living with the family of William Kester in Rowan Co. NC.
among the family members living there with her was a Mary A Mires age 23 at that time. The spelling is so bad on some of these names that I thought it might be a misspelling of your name. Is she related to you??
Thank you Judy Church

Barbara June Merris Erickson Allison Olson

You are very welcome. Glad I could help clear that up. So you are a cousin to Barbara huh. I probably do not have you in my database so if you would get your tree information to me, I can add you to my database. I try to keep it as accurate as I can. I have over 25000 in my database right now and it keeps getting bigger every week.

Hello Kathy,

First let me thank you for your inquiry. Second, let me explain Barbara. Before I do, let me say, you are the only one to EVER question my entries for someone. I do that because I am a real stickler for information. I have been doing genealogy for over 25 yrs. In that time, I have been stumped by thing because names were no correct. So, I enter all my names the same, first middle, birth name, each married name. My own name on some records is Robert Wayne Ginger Hooker Allison. My birth name is Ginger, my adopted name is Hooker and I had a name change to Allison. AND I have 3 legal birth certificates. Why? Because, for getting into the S.A.R. I had to use my birth name and provide the proof of my adoption. That is my reasoning behind that. Sorry if it confused you, but that is the way I do things.

Now to Barbara. Barbara was born out of wedlock to June Merris. Her birth name was Merris. When June and Leonard got married, Leonard adopted Barbara changing her name to Erickson. When Barbara married the first time it was to John Allison, my wife's father, they divorced after 20 years and Barbara remarried Dean R. Olson. I hope that clears things up for you.
Thank you for your inquiry.

Becks Lutheran Cem, NC (1LT LS McCants (MIA))
Kathy, You took pictures of Becks Lutheran Church Cemetery near Lexington, NC. 1LT Leland Stanford McCants III is a Vietnam War MIA. He is SUPPOSED to have an "In Memory of" stone in that cemetery. His father, Leland Stanford McCants Jr. (1914-2016 - buried in Arlington Nat'l Cemetery)), was a USAF officer and MIGHT'VE been stationed in NC when his son became MIA on 30 Dec 1968. BOTTOM LINE - looking for a picture of 1LT McCant's "In Memory of" stone, if there is one, in Beck's Lutheran Church Cemetery. 1LT McCants F-a-G Memorial # is 132844797. Many thanks, FoRV

Sunset Cemetery
Kathy, we had a "Berry" family get together this weekend. I asked Gene"s brother why he was buried in the Jackson county Sunset Memorial Cemetery. He said that he was buried in the same cemetery as his father (my uncle) William Elton Berry. I noticed that you developed Gene's brother William Jr too. could you change the location of Gene's grave to the same as his dad and brother (family). Thank you so much. Ruth Groesbeck McDowell
