Bio

I was born in 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Queen Kapiolani Maturnity Hospital. I grew up on the island of Oahu, graduating from Damien Memorial High School, in Honolulu, in 1969. The same year I left the islands for San Diego, California. There I joined the Recruit Training Command as a Seaman Recruit in the United States Navy. During my career in the Navy, I met a beautiful young lady in California, and married her in 1971. I am a Vietnam Veteran, and in 1989 become a Navy retiree.
After retirement, my bride and I settled in Washington State, with our four children. I ventured into a new occupational field, as a Commercial Truck Driver. Where I remained, until 2018, when I retired after 29 years.
I started my involvement with cemeteries before my second retirement, about 2012. I found find a grave, and started using it to help find my relatives for my family tree. Found a lot of information that others had put in there, which helped in my search. Then one day I was passing the Veterans cemetery, about 5 minutes from my house, and wondered how many buried there, which is veterans from the Civil War to Vietnam, was on find a grave for family to find. I started photographing the headstones, and checking to see if they were on Find A Grave. Then I had the good fortune of coming in contact with Margie, of Margie and Bob, another contributor. She introduced me to adding bio's and orbituaries for these fallen heros. So now I spend a lot of my spare time making sure all buried in this Veterans Cemetery are on find a grave, with bio's and any other information I can find, so others looking for them may be able to find them. While listing some information so others will know a little about each of these individuals, and not just a name on a headstone.
