UPDATED APRIL 23, 2014 -|
Gannon and I hope that everyone had a nice holiday weekend; I want to mention right now before I forget that I owe a big THANK YOU to Debbie for the photo of my brother-in-law John Sexton's gravestone - I have not had a copy since mine was destroyed in a fire, and it really made me feel as though we accomplished something by getting it posted to his page. John has been gone for many years, now but is far from forgotten - and the stone having a dog engraved on it reminds me of how he and my sister would take their pets on the road trucking, and we would get postcards from tourist traps where the dogs had tourist shirts and hats on. =)
Thank You to Valerie for allowing me to highlight her grandfather's page; friend Jim thought I'd like it and so I dropped by to read Mr. Colson's story - a loving and fascinating tribute:
William Eugene 'Gene' Colson
I just misunderstood this name suggestion from florida boy - my apologies, and I have it right this time, I promise. New site member Laura has a page up for her father; please stop and leave a token and also welcome Laura to the site:
James Lee "Jimmy" Holmes
Also from florida boy, a second name - this gentleman was an A&M football coach; his page also links to his wife's memorial:
William James Nicks, Sr.
This young woman and her niece were killed in a tornado that destroyed much of their local area; Candice and Kammi both share the same ANGEL DAY, April 27th:
Candice Hope Abernathy
Kammie June Abernathy
From daddy's girl, a gentleman whose work I do recognize and admire:
Phillip Hayes Dean
This HERO has an ANGEL DAY on April 22nd:
PFC Denis Eugene Abbott
This is a belated request, but I missed this little guy being offline so much - Eddie was my mother's first cousin, and drowned at a family picnic. His birthday was on April 9, but I know that he would appreciate belated wishes as well as Easter tokens - Thank You!:
Edward Boyd 'Eddie' Hilgers
Thank You to Loretta for allowing me to highlight her siblings, Bob and Linda; Bob is a HERO who just set out for home in January and Linda also served our country:
Robert Allen 'Bob' Willis
Linda Kathaleen Willis Stephenson
Thank You to Denise for allowing me to highlight her brother's page; Jeffery has just begun his journey, and so please visit and let him know that he is remembered as he sets out for home:
Jeffery Kevin 'Jeff' Fleck
Thank You to Zane's Mom for allowing me to highlight her son's page; her own virtual cemetery's title tells the story: "My Son, My Hero":
Specialist Zane Thompson Lee
I seldom put my own family's names up except for special days, but I keep missing the special days w/us being at medical stuff so much, and so here's just a couple of my angels; from my brother Ron's page, you can link to Mom and Dad, Ron's dog Trapper, and so on. Thank You so much in advance; here are my son, my brother and my brother-in-law -
River Logan Hall
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter

Ronda, thank you for contacting me. It is very nice to hear from people on Find-a-grave. I understand you are from or are very familiar with all the places my Grandfather is from! that's neat! You said your mother works at the Brighton Care center - I believe that is the one my Grandparents were staying in. I would love to have his memorial highlighted, thank you very much! Love Valerie

Rhonda, I noticed that this man is from Brighton and has only two tokens, perhaps his family would like him highlighted. I will be in touch before the weekend. ;]

@};- THANK U so very much for maintaining & sponsoring my Maternal Great Uncle Carter Pennington's Memorial# 8150 9851. I appreciate it very much. I know I have at least one photo of Carter, maybe two. The best photo I had of him, was made on a 5"x7" oval-shaped, round-edged metal with a metal stand. I've not seen a metal photo/frame, like that, before or since then. I gave it to his three sisters, when they attended my son, Tim's funeral. I have a large oval-shaped photo of him on thin cardboard. The picture is crumbling. It needs preserved. Hopefully I can post it on his memorial page one day.
I had the honor to visit both your infant baby, River & your brother-in-law John. I know you've been through so much heartache Rhonda, but at the same time, you're keeping strong & victorious for yourself & Gannon Blue. His name is so neat. Much like your Mom, U keep yourself busy, which helps U overcome & be victorious. Thank U for being here on Find A Grave. You've been a great comfort to many here, including myself. My sincere prayers to U, Gannon & your loved ones. Take care & hugs to U both. GOD Bless U always. With Love, ~ 597/1 Mon., 3:34 PM. EST.
