Bio Photo UPDATED MAY 18, 2015:

Please note that all suggested edits and updates WILL be done over the next couple of weeks...I do appreciate messages, and although I am out of the hospital, my eyes are still a couple notches below doing much at once. Gannon has been in the hospital, too, and that has put even more on the back burner, but I am trying to make progress on back messages, names and so on.

Please remember the sinking of HMS Hood on May 24, 1941 ... almost 1500 brave Sons of England were killed when Hood was sank by the Bismarck. I have a virtual cemetery in progress, with over half of the men listed, and if you can visit even a couple of the pages, or research the still pending names on your own, it would be so appreciated. Under my managed pages, you can also look up three of the crew who are related in different degrees to me: Johnny Payne, Charlie Taylor and Gwilym Jones. I have also sponsored many more of the men, if you look for that date. Thank You!

...I would like to repeat what I was saying for awhile last year when I was in the hospital so much - even if a name is not in the highlights because of time and illness issues, PLEASE GO THROUGH MY MESSAGES. So many wonderful names and stories are sent in, and every single one of these angels deserves a token and a prayer. For instance, just searching with the memorial numbers that member Florida Boy just sent me will take you to military heroes, cancer warriors, baseball players and other fascinating folks...Big Jake notes that member Kentucky Sweetheart has children needing visits. Members Zina, Amy Wolfe and Theresa Hernandez always have children highlighted, and right now Theresa is also highlighting unsolved homicide cases. So look around...

Please check my new cemetery, ATTENTION: Years Between Visits. Children, heroes and other angels are going two and three years (even seven and eight years) between tokens...Can we remedy that? Thank You!

My brother Ron has a birthday on December 2nd, and I was asked to keep the link up to his page; THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for my family members. =) I just put a poem of mine on Ron's page that will tell a bit more about my brother's short time here, if you'd like to read it - it's - as Ron would have said - the cold as Chicago winter wind truth, and he was very brave to live through everything he did. Here is Ron's link:
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter, Jr.

Please remember that I have some assistance on the site right now, due to my if it doesn't quite sound like me in replies, fear not. It is me, I promise, and my friend is just trying to get my rapid fire chatter down as sensibly as possible. ha!

Bio: My son Gannon and I live outside Los Angeles, but we are from Chicago/Jersey/New York; we have traveled extensively in our lives and are only off the road for now due to medical issues - but I sure hope to be able to hit the road again, someday. =) I am widowed, and I write for a living; I am very lucky to be able to work at home and therefore be with Gannon 24/7; he is seriously physically and mentally disabled, and most of my friends on here already know how I feel about Gannon...If I leave anything behind that is good, it will be because Gannon made me a better person. It is an honor to be his mother. We are interested in charity work and support Wounded Warriors, Make A Wish, Toys for Tots, The Huntington's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; all programs for poverty and below poverty level families in America; Feed America, Books For Inmates, and more. We also have a soft spot for animal welfare programs, and sincerely believe the quote that "If you want to know a man's true character, study how he treats an animal." Lastly, I hope that my work on here will answer questions, bring reunions and pay tribute to those gone, but not forgotten.

"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." - MOTHER JONES

Andrew McDonough
Thank you so much for sponsoring Andrew's memorial. He was a brave young man who left a lasting legacy behind - his parents created a foundation in his name that helps children who are battling cancer with their treatment costs, sponsors cancer research, and stresses the importance of being positive (B+ like Andrew's blood type) during hard times.
Hoping you are well, friend.

RE: Memorial Day Prayers
My pleasure and I do nothing for reciprocation; I believe all lives should be honored and this is my small part. You, too, have a blessed holiday weekend.
