Hello dear Hans!
Thank you very much for the beautiful birthday token to my mother, it means so much to me and i remember that she loved red roses! Have a wonderful Sunday my friend!
|Southern Cousin||RE: Ludwig Bugl Located|
Hans, you are SO, SO wonderful to have substantiated that for me and the Bugl family who live here in San Diego, California. Ludwig Bugl would be my grandson's great grandfather and we did see where he had lived in Nuremberg when we traveled out there one year. We visited the same house his son was born in (my grandson's deceased grandfather, Dieter Bugl). Also, we are aware Ludwig was born and raised in Eggenfelden. But I believe his widow lost track of what happened to him after the War, maybe she was notified he had died I don't know as she did go on to remarry while still in Nuremberg and her American soldier husband brought her back to his home in California. But she is deceased. I'm trying to help my grandson (this is his other side of the family/not mine). I hope one day to learn more about him and what German army division he was in during WW II. But it does appear he was killed at Amiens, France when they were liberated. I also hope to get a photo of a headstone if there is one. Thank you very, very much for your help! Bettye

Hans, I am truly sorry to hear about your illness but like others here sending you good wishes and hope you are doing better.
With that said I am trying to prove something for my grandson that was passed down to me by a contact but not yet established to be true. I am looking for a German grave or headstone for Ludwig Bugl a German soldier who died in France in WWII. I was told: "The Anton Ludwig Alois BUGL you are searching for went by the name of Ludwig BUGL, b. 21 Jun 1912 in Eggenfelden,Germany he died 31 Aug 1944 in Amiens, France and is buried in Bourdon, France, Block 2, Row 18, Grave No. 705."
I am simply looking for help in confirming this. The person who provided this to me forgot where she found these details. If you have any way to confirm or know of someone who goes out to the cemetery and could confirm I would be indebted to you. THANKS! The Bugl family of San Diego, CA
