I am the very proud grandma of a U S Army soldier. I lost my beloved husband after 37 years of marriage in 2007 and still havn't gotten "over it"? I have one livng son, also an Army veteran of 22 years and my husband was also an Army veteran. We lost three sons from Cystic Fibrosis when they were in early toddler years. 19 mos. 21 mos. and 3-1/2 years.

I believe you have to go on, but sometimes (as I'm sure all of you know) it's just so hard and I wonder why I do?

This site and all it's members have been a saving grace for me. It has been awe aspiring for me. What lovly people.

Thank you
Thank you so much for leaving such beautiful tokens for my Twin son & daughter. It means so much to me when people spare a moment to think of my babies.

Bless you & yours.

Amazing to have found your site
I couldn't sleep so I decided to surf. The 10th of July 2012 is the last time I was able to see, touch, be with, even though it was in the hospital, my 42 year old son Troy. It is hard every day, but this day just seems to make me remember more, if that is possible. I am so sorry for your losses, my heart goes out to you, but I know how proud you have to be of your son and grandson. Please thank them for me for their service so I can sit here at home and write this to you. God Bless you and bring you peace.
In prayer for all of us who grieve...

RE: family
I'm sure the pain will never go away, but maybe we can all be of comfort to you. I know others' words and tokens on my family's memorials help me.

Do your husband and sons have memorials on this site? I would like to visit them.

Your losses are unfathomable. I am a nurse who worked in pediatrics in a hospital that was also a CF research center, so I know some of what you went through. My deepest sympathies.

Thank you for visiting our Gt.Grand daughters memorial. We,her great grand parents, never had the priviledge of seeing/holding her as our grand son Ron ii was to bring her for a visit when he got home from Iraq--but alas, all we got was the phone call telling us that she was missing and that the FBI was hunting for her--after that is history. Finally,in December 2011,Chapel Hill finally released her remains and we were able to give her a Christian burial-Now she is lying next to my plot for until Jesus comes back to earth and then we shall meet her.

Tony D. Madding Memorial.

After I stopped by to thank you for your visit, I realised, whilst reading your short (but valuable emotional information biography)

My post shifted to add a (thank you note) to your Husband & Son, for their Services.

And let you know it hurts my Heart the loss of your Children to Cystic Fibrosis.

I am an advocate to find a cure/if not...a way to live a life without the stigma that goes with it.

Thank you for being such a strong Individual, my everlasting respect, and Love goes out to you, always.

We had a walk up the Tower Of Americas in San Antonio Texas, very recently.

Fellow Graver,
