Rebecca Parmenter King and Daniel King
Hi: You have posted the gravestones of the above at the Rutland Rural Cemetery. The pictures show the top half of the stones broken off. I am the 3rd great grand daughter of Rebecca and Daniel and would like to get the stones repaired if at all possible at this point. I live out of state so I will have to do it at a distance. Can you recommend any reputable monument companies in the area that do this type of work? Thank you for the nice posting for the Kings. Mary McC

I was just recently transferred this memorial and none of the information was put there by me. Thank you for pointing out some of the inaccuracies. This relative has always been a real challenge. If you have any information that you think may help, please E-mail it to me. I would deeply appreciate it.

RE: Putnam Farm Cemetery Rutland
The cemetery is on private property but I can't tell whose. I can give you some specific directions if you'd like. I got them from the town historian and have a few additional suggestions. Just let me know at

My research suggests that Mary was the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Shepard) Bullard and that Mary was born April 9, 1731.

RE: Putnam Farm Cemetery Rutland
Hi -
Sorry for the delay; I was away for the whole month. The Putnam farm cemetery is in the woods and heavily overgrown (on private property) and there is no real entrance or gate. It was completely abandoned and overgrown until an Eagle Scout project cleared out the undergrowth, June, 2011. A lot has grown back. I just uploaded the one picture that shows the stone wall. I can try to describe the way I accessed it but maybe you can email me directly.

Duplicate Memorials
Very sorry; looks like I created a duplicate pair of memorials not long after you visited Sacred Heart Cemetery in Webster, Mass. Henri Carmel, Memorial # 136412807, is my great, great-grand father, and Onezime Menard Carmel, Memorial # 136412843, is my great, great-grand mother. Would it be possible for you to transfer to me the management of these two memorials? I promise to ensure this family is visible to the Find-a-grave family. Cheers, Mark

Hannah Catherine Hayden
Ooops, just realized I said Hannah Catherine Shurtliff not Hayden in my last message. Shurtliff was her mothers maiden name. I'm sorry but glad I cought it right away.
Thank you again
