The find a grave community is extremely important in creating a global community for, not only honoring our ancestors and family, but in creating a means for people to locate greater family members and know their ancestry. The internet itself is comprised of work by various individuals (and organizations and businesses) with interest in one or more things and proof that a people-made network is important. I may also, occasionally, find and create a memorial for someone who caught my attention and interest, which I can turn over to a family member -- this I will denote on such a memorial page. But others, including some semi-famous or famous-connected or famous I might keep for myself to run, either because I am exploring a possible connection to me or because I feel my memorial is good, respectful and important, and I want to preserve it.
