Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in Celebrity Grave Hunting since My Step Dad and Mother took me to visit the graves of Tyrone Power and Rudolph Valentino at Hollywood Memorial (now, Hollywood Forever) Cemetery when I was 17 years of age. Since that time I have located over 1000 celebrity gravesites and photographed them but working on my family tree and developing "My Vitual Cemetery" has became my primary passion. I am again a photo volunteer here in San Diego but I ask all who needs my assistance to please be patient in that my job as an auto claims adjuster keeps me quite busy during weekdays.

Joshua Lee Sturm
Hi Jim, I saw that you had submitted a memorial for Joshua Sturm in the Middlebourne Cemetery. I would just like to tell you that he is actually buried about 10 miles out Elk Fork on Daniels Run Rd. If you search for Sturm Burial Site in the cemetery lookup tab on here, he is the only person buried there.(unless there are some unmarked graves.)Joshua was born September 5, 1832 in Tetricks Ridge, Marion County Isaac Sturm and Margaret Martin. He must have moved to Tyler County after his first wife, Barsheba Morgan died. His second wife was
Martha M. Sharnock. They were married December 14, 1876. I believe the land that he is buried on is the Sharnock (Charnock) farm. It was probably inherited by Martha. I personally believe that Martha and her parents are buried there also, but there is no evidence; no headstones, or even fieldstones. Here are some directions to J.L.'s gravesite.
1)From Sistersville,Tyler Co., W.Va., go 1 mile and turn onto Tyler Hwy (WV 18).
2)Go 6.9 miles from there to WV 180
3)Then go 0.3 miles and turn onto County Hwy 11/6
4)After 7.7 miles, keep left on County Hwy 11.
5)0.7 miles after that turn right onto County Hwy 42,(Elk Fork Rd.)
6)0.7 miles ahead turn left on County Rd. 42/1(Daniels Run Rd.)
7)Go 1.2 miles on Daniels Run Rd. (42/1) and the destinaton (the grave) will be on your right.

For the last step you can drive 0.5 miles in a car and that is where the gravel ends. You will need an ATV or you can just walk the last 0.7 miles. Depending on what time of year it is it can be easy to see, as it is right almost directly beside the road, and the weeds and briers get pretty high in the spring and summer. I uploaded pictures of the site to Find-A-Grave here to the grave under the search term of Sturm Burial Site. The road is narrow in that spot is very narrow, and in this particular place, very rutted out.
Just Thought you'd like to know where he is buried, Eli H.

Thank you very much for making the correction. I live in Pennsylvania but I visit family in West Virginia. I will visit Mt. Nebo if I get the opportunity.

Wrong Headstone Pic
Hi, I wanted to inform you that the wrong headstone picture has been attached to Rebecca Ann (Bunner)Hoffman. The headstone marks the grave of Rebecca Ellen (Burns) Huffman. She was the 2nd wife of Amos Huffman. Thanks for all your effort.

Vinson Stutler
Vinson's name is Spelled Vincent. I found his and his son's marker but could not locate Mary's anywhere. I searched the whole cemetery.

Mary Jane Bee (his wife) and their son William Azriah.

That was in your note asking for pictures from Claremont Cemetery in Fairmont.

I will gladly take the pictures today but could you please make a memorial for them and request the photo officially then I will post the pics.
