I got interested in research about 11yrs ago when I met my husband. He was reseaching his family. And when I started to do mine.. I WAS HOOKED!! On any given day starting in Spring, you will find me walking the cemeteries, transcribing and taking photos.|
Please follow the Findagrave guidelines when asking for transfers. (Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren). Also, please contact me with any links or additional information using the Edit button on the memorial. Thank you.
(You always should check before adding a memorial! Please do not ask me to delete a record I have created if you created the second one after I did. If you want to add something, please let me know and I can either add it or transfer it to you.)

I was wondering if you had a cemetery headstone photo for Livie Jane Curtis Tuttle in the West Irvine Cemetery. It is Find A Grave Memorial# 28103715. I have a photo of her husband's headstone but I am missing one for her. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for all that you have added to this site. I was wondering how you found the information about Henry's parents. He had a sister named Mary and I am her great great great granddaughter.

|Donald Comis||William Critchfield's RW veteran|
Since I wrote my first e-mail to you, using the dates and other information from your site, I was able to confirm that William Critchfield is a Revolutionary War veteran. I did this by putting your information into ancestry.com and I found a descendant's successful application for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution.
Putting that together with information from N.N. Hill's History of Knox County, Ohio, I found that he is one of several brothers who were pioneer settlers of Knox County, settling where I live, in Howard Township, Ohio. The Critchfields are big here, including a current law firm with that name in its title.
Now I can eliminate two of the brothers as being possibly buried in the cemetery near me, Old Drake-Jelloway Cemetery--another brother, Nathaniel, has a prominent, well known tombstone maintained by the DAR at another Howard cemetery.
As I mentioned the local DAR thinks William was buried in Old Drake-Jelloway but admit that more can be found with today's computer sites like findagrave.com and ancestry.com. I'll forward this information to the local DAR Chapter, the Lucy Knox Chapter.
Hope this helps. If you don't see a 1776 flag holder marker by William's grave and his service isn't marked on his tombstone, he's entitled to a replacement marker--I think you get them through the local veterans service office. Otherwise it would be through your local DAR or maybe SAR chapter.
You probably already know this, but I mention it because my goal is to help get veterans recognized by these flagholders.

I am in search of finding my great grandfather's burial location. His name is William Jesse Bowman. He drank carbolic acid and killed himself in Franklin County, Mississippi. The birth date and death date are the same. Do you know if it is the same Jesse Bowman?
His 2nd wife was Cora Stoud. They had 5 children one of which is Katie Bowman Strittman (my grandmother) Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I notice you have Su W Hisle and Susannah Miller (wife of Thomas R Hume, Sr) both listed. They are one in the same as Susannah Miller Hume married A Hisle after Thomas' death. Are there actually 2 markers?
Thanks for any help you can give me to figure this out.
