~~Josh Groban~~

This was a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.

We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. Demands will be ignored, "please" is simply common courtesy. People with kind, sincere words make my day.

I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave. If you are rude, I will ignore you.

** I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates. PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Nine times out of ten, they have already been added.

** PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' I refuse to link to an unknown burial or a similar status. Don't ask me to.

**If you will not honor an update you are doing the memorial an injustice, not to mention the hard work of the volunteers a real injustice or the Findagrave admins who now have to do YOUR WORK. If you don't want to do updates, give your memorials to someone who will, PLEASE.

**Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable.

** If your pictures are crooked, of poor quality, out of focus, too dark to read, taken at night, shadowed, or the stone is covered in dirt or weeds, or your finger was in front of the lens, I will add my photo on the memorial. I am sorry, I do not intend to offend. It is not out of disrespect for the other photographer, it is out of respect for the deceased. Please have the gumption and consideration to post only decent, well thought out photos.

**USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, or general inquiries for ANY memorial. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

Annie Pound
Hi Anne,

Annie Pound is my first cousin 4 times removed. I'm descended from her uncle Thomas Pound and Ann (Bolton) Pound. My Thomas and Ann came to the United States late in life, following their sons. Are you related to the Pounds?

RE: Alice Howard edit
In answer to you question, I do not show the name Alice Howard on either of my family members. I apologize if I inadvertently clicked on her name. Sometimes hen a new appears, if it is not related to me, I go delete it. But I have double checked and I do not have her name listed.

Re: Nathaniel Cecil (Ione Cemetery)
Hello, I think we are FB friends but I just thought I would send this quick message here in reply to an edit you sent me. According to the 1870 Census for Amador County- Nathaniel Cecil was noted as being 28 years of age, and working as a Teamster in Volcano at the time. This states his year of birth was actually 1842. Other California Great Registers have him listed as being born either 1838 or 1837. I have listed the year 1842 as his year of birth, although the headstone has 1835. I believe that the year of birth etched on his marker was done by their best guess, since he had no family in the area. It is safe to assume that we may never know the exact year of his birth, so I went with the only documented records I could find.

Edits for Ione burials
Hi Anne,

I accepted the edits you requested and wondered if you wanted the memorials transferred to you. Unfortunately, with the exception of Elinor Davis, I don't recall which ones they were. If you'd like them, let me know which ones they were and I'll transfer them. I'm not related to any of the Ione burials, they were burials that I added after a request for a photo on another burial of the same surname just in case the requester was looking for relatives.

RE: Annie Fithian
Hi..No problem..Sorry for the error..Went off the Ione cemetery information on the family Fithian & Huber plot area 2,row 5,plot 1B..of Annie's headstone 1873-1937.. So this Annie Fithian should have a separate new memorial?
