~~Josh Groban~~

This was a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.

My tree was done generations ago, thanks to my ancestors. Now my time is spent on documenting cemeteries, research, linking family members and connecting the dots; my virtual flowers now represent edits.

We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. Demands will be ignored, "please" is simply common courtesy. People with kind, sincere words make my day.

I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave. If you are rude, I will ignore you.

** I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates. PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Most likely, they have already been added.

** PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' I will not link to an unknown burial.

**If you will not honor an update you are doing the memorial an injustice, not to mention the hard work of the volunteers and Findagrave admins who now have to do YOUR WORK. If you don't want to do updates, give your memorials to someone who will, PLEASE.

**Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable.

** If your pictures are crooked, of poor quality, out of focus, too dark to read, taken at night, shadowed, or the stone is covered in dirt or weeds, or your finger was in front of the lens, I will add my photo on the memorial. I apologize, I do not intend to offend. It is not out of disrespect for the other photographer, it is out of respect for the deceased and the family who might appreciate a good photo of the stone. Please have the gumption and consideration to post only decent, well thought out photos.

**USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, or general inquiries for ANY memorial, it gives me easy access to the memorial in question, I have entered thousands. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

RE: Louise Caroline Muzzy Hobart 73005974
Louise married Seth Lincoln Hobart who is related - way down the line - to my 8th great-grandfather: John Leavit (1608-1691).

My 5th great-grandmother, Elizabeth
Leavitt, daughter of Ephraim K Leavitt (1680-1757), married Charles Bickford (1721-1774), and that's where my mother's side of the tree on the Leavitt side, started. She was born a Bickford in 1924. Charles and Elizabeth were her 4th great-grandparents.

I'm retired with lotz of time on my hands, so am researching all my grand & great-grandparents. It will never get done in my lifetime, but hopefully someone down the line from me will find this interesting, and continue my work.

RE: Roselle Nunes 139283399
Thanks for the response. The source for her birth is the California Birth Index, 1905-1995. Roselle was the great granddaughter of William Alfred "W. A." Stribling (# 47307003). He was a younger brother of my great great grandfather Wiley Stribling. There were at least 11 children in the family, and the parents were William and Margaret "Peggy" Searcy Stribling. The children were all born in Clark County, Kentucky between 1808 and 1832. The family, except for a few of the oldest daughters who married and stayed in Kentucky, moved to Clay County, Missouri shortly after their last child was born. W. A. set out for parts unknown (California) sometime after 1850 and was married about 1856 in Mariposa County.

What's really interesting, to me, is that the original cabin they built in Clay County, MO is still standing at a location called Shoal Creek outside Kansas City, MO which demonstrates life in Missouri in the 1800s.

This is way more than you asked for, and I have some questions for you. Are you connected to the family? Have you any idea if the Oliver Nunes in the 1930 and 1940 censuses was the father of Roselle and her siblings? Roselle's mother had 3 other children, Oliver, Irma, and Colleen, all of whom survived her and were living with their grandfather Charles Alfred Stribling in 1930. I found Oliver and Colleen in 1940, but not Irma. I found information on Oliver's US Social Security Applications and Claims Index file that documents his mother, Susie Stribling, and father, Oliver Nunes.

I'd appreciate any information you have so I can add it to my Stribling family documentation.

RE: George Greer 49135684
I just discovered the connection today and am working through getting them connected, but I am only related to them through marriage. Leola Pridemore is my 3rd cousin 2x removed, married Bert Sitton, son of David Sitton, son of David Woods Sitton and Samantha Jane Greer.

RE: Effie Mae Ackerman 68593260
Hi Anne
Thank you for making the edit. Effie Mae is the grandmother of my cousins husband. Effie Mae's maiden name was "Allen". Her first husband's surname was "Ackerman" and her second husband "Bacon" was her last husband's surname.
