Bio and Links
Bio Photo Lifelong resident of northeastern Illinois, I enjoy visiting the cemeteries and searching out headstones, photographing and posting them and trying to weave the links together of other family members in that cemetery or other ones nearby, so that other researchers can utilize my findings. My areas of particular interest are Lake County (where my family started off in this country), DuPage, Kane, DeKalb and Kendall counties, and also Morgan and Scott counties in southern Illinois. I'll also sometimes go out of my "comfort zone" if it's something that looks intriguing.
I try to arrange my photo expeditions according to my schedule and by areas, and of course by weather conditions. I only claim photo requests that I can absolutely fulfill, and try to fulfill them as promptly as possible.
As always, if you'd like to copy a photo, ask permission first in order to let me know how and where it's going to be used, and credit my work. Other than that, I'm happy to help you out in whatever way possible, just contact me.

Dear R.,I really enjoy You sharing Your knowledge of the past.A lot of things fall into place when You tell us tidbits of information about the Fox Valley area. What happened to Elizabeth Marie?Did You say She was 4 mo.?Could She have been born at the Hospital?Another mystery, perhaps?Regards,Gail. RE: George J Carlson
Of course I'll credit you. That's the least I can do, considering the effort you made.

I wondered about that association marker, as well. My grandmother is buried in a different cemetery. It makes me wonder if they sold blocks to the association so they could provide them at a reduced cost to their members. Ah ... another mystery!!

Thanks again for allowing the use of the photos.

George J Carlson
Thank you for taking the time and effort to photograph and post these pictures. I would appreciate your permission to download the photo of George J Carlson's headstone and also the photo of the Waiter's Association marker. George J is the second husband of my great-grandmother, Josephine (Moylan) Carlson. I would like to add the photos to my family tree. Thank you for considering this request.
