|Bio and Links|
Lifelong resident of northeastern Illinois, I enjoy visiting the cemeteries and searching out headstones, photographing and posting them and trying to weave the links together of other family members in that cemetery or other ones nearby, so that other researchers can utilize my findings. My areas of particular interest are Lake County (where my family started off in this country), DuPage, Kane, DeKalb and Kendall counties, and also Morgan and Scott counties in southern Illinois. I'll also sometimes go out of my "comfort zone" if it's something that looks intriguing.|
I try to arrange my photo expeditions according to my schedule and by areas, and of course by weather conditions. I only claim photo requests that I can absolutely fulfill, and try to fulfill them as promptly as possible.
As always, if you'd like to copy a photo, ask permission first in order to let me know how and where it's going to be used, and credit my work. Other than that, I'm happy to help you out in whatever way possible, just contact me.

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you ever so much for adding my cousin's memorial to findagrave! I cannot believe his cremains were abandoned at a funeral home. How sad! George was a very wealthy and respected architect in the Chicago area.
I will be sending you a link to George's mother, Laura.

Thanks so much. We really appreciate you creating this memorial and thank you so much for allowing our family to maintain it going forward.

Per email below, I have submitted edits trying to link grandmother to grandfather, but you are not replying or accepting. PLEASE PLEASE transfer my grandmother's memorial such that it can be properly cared for. Many thanks!
|Kevin Conrad||Please transfer memorial of my dear grandmother|
Hi, could you please transfer the memorial of my dear grandmother, Lydia Steffen Conrad, to the care of my father and I. We know she would really appreciate this as would we. Of course, you will always keep credit for creating the memorial, for which we thank you. But it is important to our family that we continue to care for our own. Many thanks.

Just looked at Ruth Zanders and see her spouse is another Swanson. Right?
|Shirley M. Strickland||RE: Swan Julius Swanson|
Now we are getting somewhere. Yes, I do know how many Swansons are married to a Ruth. About as many as August Swansons - ha. So your Swan Julius was married to Ruth Zanders. Correct. I know that this Swan was not married to Ruth Cleveland Herrington Swanson.
|Shirley M. Strickland||Swan Julius Swanson|
Good Morning, Something is bothering me about Swan and Ruth. I pulled up the Medical Certificate of Death for Swan Julius Swanson with the same dates as on the memorial and it indicates that he was buried in Fairview Cemetery in De Kalb County. Surely there cannot be two persons with the same name and dates of birth and death. What do you think? What bothered me to begin with was the ages on census records. They never quite matched. This report list his parents as Julius and Carolina Carlson with a son Robert Swanson, Malta, IL.
