Click on the tomb for more info. I've been seriously interested in family genealogy for a long time. If I've added memorials to non-family members it's because I was there and had a camera while looking for my family (I'm a grave walker). Some markers catch my eye and I must photograph them. I try hard to capture the Veterans when I find them...because they deserve it. I'm not interested in building an empire of memorials for the sheer sake of numbers so I'm more lax over turning them over to family than Find A Grave's rules. If a relative is closer to you than me I have no problem turning them over. If they are at all relation to you and not me then just ask, tell me your relation and they are yours. Just try to be polite, it'll take you farther. Especially if someone fulfills your photo request. I try not to add recent deaths too quickly, doesn't allow friends to post their friends memorials (I don't look at the Obits each morning first). I'd like to thank the volunteers who have brought me photos from far away, you are wonderful. You may use these photos for any non-profit reasons (Ancestry.com, findagrave spouses, etc) |
I've been happily married for 40 years to a wonderful woman who keeps me in check. (I need to be kept in check.) I'm a NRA Life Member (gun enthusiast), from bull's-eye pistol to BMG, a certified PADI SCUBA Divemaster, Extra Class HAM radio operator and 4th dan Judo black belt. I wish I could fly, parachute, play an instrument and dance but I can't...or haven't yet. I also make a mean breakfast!

Thank you for volunteering to go out, find and photograph their graves. The photos are excellent! I will pass these on to their other relatives.

Thanks for your efforts in taking the
Olsen headstone picture. Have a great day!
Awesome! Thank you for the quick response. I was prepared for longer.

No need to apologize, unfortunately it's been happening to me more and more. I've been working with a contributor on a project orchestrated by IWPP since 2012 verifying the interments at Ft Rosecrans. I was able to get help from cemetery director Douglas Ledbetter. If my status of data manager has been revoked permanently, I think it's time to move on.

I was at the cemetery on Thursday and noticed them digging the grave and since Ft Rosecrans is closed to new burials I checked Ft Rosecrans and there wasn't a memorial for him so I added it. I had also claimed a photo request but it's gone too. Uggghhhh Maybe it's time for me to get a new hobby LOL
I had created a memorial and now it's gone. Do you know what happened to it?

Yes, you may use the photos for any personal, not-for-profit use. Thank you for asking. At Ancestry or other sites, please do not credit me by name as that confounds my family name searches with too many results. Instead, please include a web link for the original Find A Grave memorial page, either in the comments or description, to create traffic back to the original page, so hopefully Ancestry will keep Find A Grave as free! Thanks, Greg.

You uploaded a photo to Bertha McMillen's memorial ID 128847731. Please add the photo to her original memorial ID 105999861. I will be deleting the duplicate as soon as the original poster makes requested updates. Thank you!

Thank you for posting a grave marker photo for Otto Cress I appreciate that. I was wondering, what cemetery did you take that photo from? I noticed there were two Otto Cress's here and was hoping I was right on the proper burial place for him. Hope you can help me out on this.
