My family research started in 1980.

In August 2007, I founded the Angel Babies Memorial Project. The mission of this project is to discover and record the gravesites of infants and children who died in New York City and other states between 1798 - 1948 and link them genealogically to their families.
Every memorial serves as a tribute to a youngster who died much too soon. They all deserve to be remembered and honored, and given a sense of dignity and love in death that may have been denied to them in life. By doing so, they will not be forgotten.

RE: Correction for Minnie Slavin
Yes, it's gate 11 on the left side of the road. If you look at Minnie's page on here, you'll be able to see all the linkages I've been able to do so far. They extend out of Acacia into Mt Hebron, and Mt Ararat and all the way to Los Angeles in one case.

Correction for Minnie Slavin

Acacia just called me again with a correction for the location of the Minnie Slavin (Irviing Slavin, and Jacquline Slavin). It is gate 11 on the left side of the road through. The grave is 7th on the right on the path, Irving is in grave 8. Jacqueline is in the rear children's section next to Max Mittleman.

Sorry for confusion. They are working off old microfilm.

Acacia Cemetery -Minnie Slavin Request
Sorry for the delay in response.

Graves descriptions are a little out of ordinary. No rows.

Glogower Society, Section 25

Minnie Slavin( died 1967), 3 graves East of Becky Levy.

Isidore (Irving) Slavin (died 1986), 4 graves East of Becky Levy ( 1 grave East of Minnie Slavin).

Jacqueline Slavin (died 1926) , next to Sylvia Gelb.

Best the office could get off the microfilm.

Beckie Kolbe
I just submitted an update for Beckie. Her real name was Rebecca and her maiden name was Kushelevitz. She was my great-grandfather's sister. Thank you!

I am reaching my family tree and think James might be related to me. My question is where did you get the information that was entered in the memorial? I am thinking that he was the son of Charles and Fannie Doherty (nee Schmidt and not Smith). Would it be possible to confirm?

Hi, I requested a photo and received the following information from the volunteer at Acacia Cemetery: the grave is located in the Prener area, Gate 21, 3 graves west of M Kaplowitz. I understand it is difficult to find graves in the cemetery and that this may not be enough information for you. If not, I appreciate your willingness to work on this project and try to honor my request. Thank you.
