He is author of six books, numerous magazine articles, and newspaper features on military/historical subjects. Born in England, he served overseas with the Royal Air Force. Sidney is a past-Director of the Royal Canadian Military Institute, Chairman of the Western Front Association Pacific Coast Branch, and President of the Sir Winston Churchill Society of Vancouver Island.
