<------ Meeka (a rescue that has changed my life)|
Born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, Canada, raised in Los Angeles since age 5. I concentrate my efforts at Westwood Memorial Park, Forest Lawn Glendale, Hollywood Forever & Los Angeles National.
+*+*+*+May 2016 I am now concentrating on Woodlawn, Hillside Memorial Park & Holy Cross during the summer months. Too hard for me to climb the hills at Forest Lawn, Glendale.
I produce a high volume of memorials and photos with a good chance I have made some errors along the way. I ALWAYS welcome corrections!
***When I take a photo for a request, I take the time to trim and clean the headstone. I average 700 random photos each time I go and do my best to make sure the headstone is readable. I do not clean and trim each one. I personally like the natural (as it stands) look rather than doing what should be done by the cemetery.
If anyone wants to manage a memorial I created that is not a family member or friend of mine, just ask. I donít understand those who feel the need to hoard and control every memorial.
If anyone wants to use ANY photo I have posted to their family tree can do so without further permission. Anyone who feels the need to charge for photos that offer a family a small piece of their (key word their) family history needs to rethink their values. No disrespect meant. I offer my photos to anyone else for publication for free with proper photo credit.

OMG. Someone's beat me to it! As I stood there in total confusion in Graceland, I thought, we need something tied to GPS for this hill! So, it's already been done? For everyone?? I will definitely check that out later! I could definitely use a link to some plot maps as well. I didn't know they had those online too. That would help a LOT! Thanks for your help, James!

Yes, I was there. Were you the man walking around the base of Sunrise Slope? If so, I also thought about talking to you- I wondered if I could help you find someone, but I too like to give people their space in a cemetery. I hadn't been to the cemetery in a while, and Memorial Day seemed like a good day for it. Got about a dozen photos to post today. Sunrise Slope is not so bad, but Graceland is really a mess to try to find anyone in. I'm thinking it'd be easier to just try to systematically photo the whole hill than to try finding requests in there. I was trying to figure out where I was (given the general lack of lot markers) by looking up names on Forestlawn.com and seeing what their location was, but even some of the names I was searching weren't coming up in their database! I really thought their database was pretty complete. Have you found this before? Have you ever spoken to administration at Forest Lawn? I really want to find a way to get them to at least unearth the old lot markers....

I wish I could hug you! This means so much to me. I never met my great grandfather. I've never heard any stories. All I have are a few records from ancestry.com to give me an idea of who he was. I appreciate you so much for taking the time to get these photos.
