Bio Photo <------ Meeka (a rescue that has changed my life)
Born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, Canada, raised in Los Angeles since age 5. I concentrate my efforts at Westwood Memorial Park, Forest Lawn Glendale, Hollywood Forever & Los Angeles National.

I produce a high volume of memorials and photos with a good chance I have made some errors along the way. I ALWAYS welcome corrections!
***When I take a photo for a request, I take the time to trim and clean the headstone. I average 700 random photos each time I go and do my best to make sure the headstone is readable. I do not clean and trim each one. I personally like the natural (as it stands) look rather than doing what should be done by the cemetery.
If anyone wants to manage a memorial I created that is not a family member or friend of mine, just ask. I donít understand those who feel the need to hoard and control every memorial.

If anyone wants to use ANY photo I have posted to their family tree can do so without further permission. Anyone who feels the need to charge for photos that offer a family a small piece of their (key word their) family history needs to rethink their values. No disrespect meant. I offer my photos to anyone else for publication for free with proper photo credit.

Thank you so much for the photo of Oscar & Clara's headstone. Thank you also for looking for Lavina Allens headstone and letting me know that Clara's headstone is sinking. I will have the family call the cemetery. I really appreciate you going the extra mile.

Thank you for your kind remarks about my Mom's poem. I have stopped visiting her in the mausoleum since the place inside changed so much after MJ and his fans arrived 6 years ago. It's darker inside Holly Terrace and there is no sense of solace and privacy anymore. So sad. David

RE: sylvester Garner
Sorry it took so long to get back to you! I was just getting to my findagrave emails today. Yes, Cora Van Fleet is Sylvester Hanford Garner Sr.'s wife. Alta is their daughter, Maiben is her married name.

Re: He is buried next to Cora Garner (wife?) and Alta Roberta Garner Maiben(Mother?) I posted their photos as well. James

There is no system really. When you see a map of the sections It generally starts out well but over time they have added spaces that don't make sense. I always have to get a map since each section starts differently.
I think L.A National Cemetery is the best. I learned their system very quickly and it's very consistent. Even when they added new spaces over the many years, it stayed consistent and now I think all the drives are as narrow as they can be.
If you need any help at Woodlawn I'd be happy to help. The office knows me very well.

Thank you for transferring this memorial to me. It will make it much easier for me to add information about my great grandmother. It's people like you who make this a great web site.

Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to find our ancestor's grave and taking a picture. Also it appears that you brought flowers as well. That was so kind of you! Bless you.

Thanks for taking the time to try and take the photo. Didn't know about the private prop business. He was a well known racer in the 20's and 30's. So do I need to contact Forest Hills cemetery for permission for someone to take the photo? I live in Kansas, so am unable to confer myself with the cemetery folks. Thanks again. Matt
