Bio Photo I have been a resident of Virginia since 1985, most of that time in Richmond. I serve as Board President of the "Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery", and am the immediate past Commander-in-Chief of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS), the oldest Civil War descendants' organization.

I am happy to make corrections and additions as needed.

Hello there,
I regret to inform you that there is no headstone or marker for Walter J. Burden, buried at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Riverside, CA. I took a photo of the row he is buried in.

I'm so sorry that I could be or further service to you.
Good luck in your research!

Neat! I almost done adding memorials with Riverside Cemetery, hopefully tomorrow, just another 20-30 names and it will be complete......it will take longer to add the photos of course.

Ok, I see it now, I will go ahead and add the photo for him. Unusual marker in that it says he was the "Husband of...." Usually I see "Wife of so and so" It reads, "Aaron A, Husband of M.E. Marling, died Aug 18, 1875, Aged 28 Years". He is the only one on the 4-sided marker.....hth

Aaron A Marling
Hey, I'm adding more records to Riverside Cemetery (IA) and came across an Aaron A Marling, died Aug 18, 1875, 28 years old. Records say he is a Civil War vet....thought you may be interested.

Thank you for the beautiful tombstone photo on the above site. The tombstone tells a great deal. It is hard to believe this was not in find a grave. I am going thru many families in Mt Auburn that need to be entered in the system. Richard

RE: John Burden photo
And where does Florance fit into the mix? I would think if she was there with the other 5 Burdens she must be connected.
