In April 2016 we received the nightmare news that every parent fears...the death of a child no matter their age. I had the great privilege of making his memorial. Nathan Alan Shelton at the Riverside National Cem., in Riverside Ca. Please feel free to drop by and leave a message to one of the bravest soul's I've ever known!

I have been doing genealogy seriously for the last 6 years, but had been following my mother and grandmother, and picking up tricks of the trade for over 30 years. I was NOT interested in spending countless hours looking for dead people!! Now I understand their passion!

I had boxes stored in my garage filled with family history that I "inherited" from my mother and grandmother. When digging through them, "hoping" there were a few boxes I could get rid of, I came across a copy of a ggg grand uncle, Benjamin Franklin Rittenhouse's testimony to the U.S. Congress explaining how he came to be the Lieutenant in charge of "Little Round Top" at the battle of Gettysburg after the gruesome deaths of 2 Generals. Hearing of that experience in his own words just lit my soul on fire!!

So began my own journey in piecing together the work my mother and grandmother started back in the 70's. I find this hobby extremely rewarding, adding to their years of hard foot work while I hardly ever leave my office and in my Pj's!! They were the true pioneers.

Please feel free to ask for any transfers. I'm happy to give them to whomever wants them.
