My son & I have combined his love of U.S. military history and my love of genealogy & art into a fun and educational pursuit.
Our enthusiasm began after a springtime trip to Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virgina. We were overwhelmed ... the riot of color from the dogwoods mixed with the somber grays of the stones stole my breath away, while the famous names of JEB Stuart & George Pickett had my young man whooping (albeit quietly) & tossing his cap in the air. The die was cast and since then we have traveled many miles and poured through many books & documents together. We travel yearly into Pennsylvania exploring our family roots. You may find us in the Marx Room of the Easton Library, or haunting the cemeteries of Montour & Columbia counties ...
We are currently working through our home county of Gloucester and the adjoining Mathews county photographing & transcribing the cemeteries.
If you should find an error or would like me to transfer a loved one to your care, please pop us a note.
County Keeper for Gloucester, Virginia.

Hello Egg and Dart,
Perhaps you know my relatives in Gloucester, as you have said that is your home county. I sent an email re. an edit, but I am not sure that it was sent, as it was not my customary way of emailing. I told you that there were 8 children born by Martha Greene Cushman and William David Cushman. Listed were only four of them. I will be happy to supply you with their names. I had thought that perhaps I could do the editing, but apparently not.
I am amazed at your interest in this type of project and I am very thankful that you have done this, so thank you very much.

Have found that Benjamin Franklin Stecher married Anna Weinberg about 1849, probably Northampton Co, PA (found in 1850 census). Looking for marriage record and identity of Anna's parents. Hope you can help. Thanks, Jerry

Greetings Egg and Dart. I have contact with Mr. William's daughter. She is trying to locate living relatives of her father, George Edward William (memorial # 23462520). I was not sure if you knew the family or would have a lead. Kindly send me a private message.

It was lovely meeting both of you today! Is Williamson, Jennie Stecher's maiden name, one of those on the big stone you found today? If so, I'll bet the other two surnames are on her side of the family.
Hope to see you again soon!

Can you transfer that one to me as well? Thanks so much! Howard was my great-grandmother's brother. She later named her only son, my Pop Pop, after him.
