Elm Lawn Cemetery was founded in 1890. We have continuously served our community for over 120 years. We have 63 acres of lush, landscaped grounds with woods on 2 sides. The Bay City Tribune, August 26, 1890: "The Romanesque style of the chapel and gatehouse was selected because it provided a picturesque composition and the rusticated masonry created a sense of antiquity and security...the magnificent arch providing a sense of entry and indicating the grounds inside were hallowed. The massing of the office structure and tower to the side is a clever design that adds structural and visual strength to the arch."
