Bio

I was born April 24, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I am the eldest son of George (1930-1988) and Mildred (Cooper) Gadzalinski (1934-2004). My siblings are Linda (b. July 1957), Diane (b. Apr 1958; d. Apr 1958), Susan (b. May 1960), Nancy (b. May 1962), Richard (b. July 1963), Janet (b. Aug 1964) and Lorie (b. July 1972).

I Graduated from Hamilton High School in Milwaukee in June 1977. Graduated from UW-Whitewater with a BBA degree in Finance in May 1981.

I was the second husband of Suzette LaCorte (b. Oct. 15, 1956, Brooklyn, NY). We married on Sept. 6, 1986 at St. Sebastian Church, Milwaukee, WI. We divorced 18 years later on Sept. 16, 2004.

I am the loving father of Nicole, b. Dec 15, 1980 (NY); Kevin, b. Oct 30, 1987, Brian, b. July 1, 1990, and Sarah, b. Oct 24, 1992.

Employed with Milwaukee County (1985-2005), lastly in the position of Deputy Court Clerk (1997-2005).

Hobbies/Interests: Genealogy (since 1974) and Family (I'm the family historian and I wrote a family genealogy in 1998-1999 and have a very detailed family tree on Ancestry.com that I work on quite often. My direct ancestors surnames include Gadzalinski, Cooper, Witkowski, Gross, Daubner, Kamrath and Johnson. Also LaCorte and Sciacca on my ex-wife's side.

I am a passionate pipe and cigar smoker (since April 1998). Other things I enjoy are chatting with my friends on social Media (Facebook), bowling, reading, astrology, NFL football (Green Bay Packers), nature walks, stamp collecting, and art (drawing).

I moved to Tampa, Florida in December 2006. Employed with NY Life/AARP Operations from May 2007 to November 2019. Employed briefly (June to Sept 2020) as a insurance benefits agent with American Income Life working from home (unsuccessful commission position). I was an enumerator for the 2020 US Census (August to October 2020). I basically retired after this job but am considering taking on a part-time job in October 2021.

Domestically partnered to Arthur E. Edick Jr. (b. June 11, 1973) since June 2011. Our anniversary is Dec. 31, 2011 (Civil Commitment ceremony).

Art and I moved to beautiful Lakeland, Florida on June 30, 2015. Then moved to a purchased manufactured home in Dade City, Florida on Jan. 30, 2021. Sadly, Art developed Primary Progressive MS in May 2021.

Art and I have decided to move to Eastern Tennessee sometime in the future (before I turn 70). But this dream won't come true for us together. With a heavy heart, I have to announce that my loving partner of 10 years passed away from septic shock in a hospital ICU at 7:09pm on Friday, June 25, 2021. Two weeks after his 48th birthday! The unjust death of this wonderful man has been so unreal, painful, and devastating for me. Please read more at the FAG memorial I created for him (ID #22885538).

When I pass away, my cremated remains will be interred in the niche next to Art (space 42) in a beautiful glass fronted niche inside the Good Shepherd chapel mausoleum at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Alcoa, Tennessee.

Findagrave: I hereby give authorization for my son Kevin Gadzalinski to be the successor owner of all the memorials I maintain here on Findagrave.

ADDITIONAL INFO: I became a grandpa on Dec. 12, 2014!! Grandson Tyler James Gadzalinski (son of my son Brian) arrived then! Sadly, Tyler was taken by God on Feb. 12, 2015 to be a Special Angel in Heaven. TJ died of SIDS. (See his FAG Memorial #142593126)..

I became proud grandpa to Anthony James Gadzalinski on Dec. 23, 2015! He is also the son of my son Brian. My grandson is healthy and beautiful! As my only living grandchild, he is my pride and joy. They moved to Lakeland, FL in Dec. 2016 but then back to Wisconsin at the end of August 2019. I feel blessed for the time Brian and Anthony lived with us.

Tombstone"

Written by Walter Butler Palmer, 1906.

Dear Ancestor,

Your tombstone stands among the rest:
Neglected and alone,

The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care,
It is too late to mourn

You did not know that I exist,
You died and I was born.

Yet, each of us are cells of you:
In flesh, in blood, in bone.

Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.

Dear ancestor, the place you filled,
hundred years ago

Spreads out among the ones you left,
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew

That someday I would find the spot;
And come and visit you?

The poet Rumi wrote, "On the day I die, when I'm being carried toward the grave, don't weep. Don't say, He's gone! He's gone. Death has nothing to do with going away. The sun sets and the moon sets, but they're not gone. Death is a coming together. The tomb looks like a prison, but it's really release into union. The human seed goes down in the ground like a bucket into the well… It grows and comes up full of some unimagined beauty."

The stories we discover and share are that unimagined beauty coming into full light.
