I have been involved with genealogy and family history since I was 18 years old. I am now retired and living in Huntsville, AL. My grandmother and grandfather lived here. My mother and her brother and sisters were born here and so was I. I learned to love the history of this special place through the son of my grandfather's brother, James Record. He loved this area and contributed to the preservation of many documents that would otherwise have been lost. I have spent many days in Maple Hill honoring my family who rest here.
