WHEN MESSAGING ME ABOUT A MEMORIAL, PLEASE INCLUDE THE MEMORIAL NUMBER LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MEMORIAL PAGE.

A Southern Family Tree is not a tree but a beautiful Wisteria Vine with many branches going everywhere and a lost root!

NSDAR 1988 Patriots: Rev. Lewis Cookson Davis, John Anderson, Charles Heard, William Hay, Lt. Willis Pope, Nathaniel Jones,John Stovall, Absalom Davis and Owen Griffin. Only one has a known grave site so the rest do not have memorials on FAG. (Update Nov 2015: found that other members are now making unknown burials of these patriots meeting their genealogy storage goal and not FAG's goal of recording graves sites)

Colonial Dames of XVIIC 2009 Colonial Ancestor: Bartholomew Stovall, NC

Amelia Island Genealogical Society~ Corresponding Secretary 2004-2005 and Past Nassau County, FL Genealogical Website Committee member.

Published in the Quarterly magazines of the Southern Genealogical Exchange and Amelia Island Genealogical Society articles on my family and various others of North FL lines.

6th Generation Floridian: Ancestor Florida Pioneer Abner Sweat and son Samuel. In 2023, proved Samuel was my ancestor and received my "Florida Pioneer Certificate" from the FL Genealogical Society.

To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....

First, I don't link to Burial Unknown Site Memorials as BU shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. Do not request relationship edits to a BU as it will be refused. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site. When you made a BU, you have a chance of losing the memorial to the member who "Find A Grave" in the cemetery.

Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice.

Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.

You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.

Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.

Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

Remember to check on the Discussion Forums here. They are very newsy, helpful and interesting!
