I am from Ogden, Utah. I'm the oldest son of Mary and Clifford Hofer and I have been doing family history since I was 16 years old. I am a father to one little girl, and uncle to 3 more little girls. I have been researching my family (Hofer) and these families: Terman, Saltzman, Bailey, Robbins, Bice, just to name a few. I married my wife Erica Saltzman on May 10, 2011. I am an active and dilligent volunteer photographer so if you have a photo request filled by me, please know I put a ton of time into each one I do. Right now I work mainly in Posey County, Indiana but I also do some work in Vanderburgh County, Indiana also. If you need anything please let me know. Thanks.|
Cemeteries I work: Bellefontaine, Blacks, Weiss, Beech Grove, Old Beech, Laurel Hill, St. Matthews, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Maple Hill Cemetery, and Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin. I also work Kincheloe Cemetery and alot of small rural ones. Those by name are ones I do regularly.
Effective February 19, 2013 ANYONE who decides they want to steal a photo request that I have claimed will be reported to Find a Grave. Please check the photo request and if it is mine leave it alone. Thank You.

Thank you for the quick response to my request. It is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for all you do! If it wasn't for people like you, we would never be able to find where our people are buried.
Abraham & Elizabeth Penfold were my husband's great great grandparents. Their daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie" (1855-1923) married Samuel Potter.
We barely have time to get back to Crossville & with the bridge out, New Harmony is even more difficult. Thank you for the photos and info!

Charlie, there just are not "far away family members." It's not that kind of family. I did not question my father's wishes to be buried in New Harmony-- I knew he found it a contemplative place to visit. But because it would make it nearly impossible for any of his family to visit his grave (no one lives remotely near there, including his widow, who does not drive) I am left to assume that this is not the way he wished to be remembered. If you do a Google Search on his name, you will find a better portrait of the man than any slab of black granite.

Why have you posted my father's grave on this site? He's not related to you in any way, and he is not connected to any kind of Posey County history. I find this deeply offensive.

Charlie - I know that Kenneth Morris's wife Ival re-married after his passing. When she passed, her new married name was Havill. I believe she is buried in Indiana, somewhere near Hammond. This would be my Grandmother Eldiva (Randolph) Tracy's sister. Do you know any information on Ival? I cannot find a record for her on Find a Grave.

|Alice Bice Davis||RE: Bice|
That's great news. I would love to see what information you have. I don't have a lot. I know that Ross's son George Henry Bice (my grandfather)lived in Oswego, NY and married Alice Gertrude Holland. George died in his twenties and a year later Alice died due to a short illness. According to my mother Linda Mary Bice it was from gall Stones. But Linda was only six at the time so I am not sure completely. George and Alice had 4 children. Linda Mary Bice, George Henry Bice, John Bice, and James Henry Bice. After my grandparents passing the children were adopted except Linda who was deemed a difficult child and spent her life as a ward of the state. George(jr.) was adopted by Alice's side of the family an was given the last name Holland. He is alive and lives in Oswego, NY. He has two children( a boy and a girl. John was adopted by a family with the last name Bittner in the Syracuse, NY area. Linda had 6 children. Judith, Crawford and Pearl Teuscher, Alice Bice (myself), Christopher Preeman, Frances Preeman(who is a boy but she spelled his name wrong). Judith has one child named Lynda Teuscher. Crawford never had any children, I have two named Katelynn Davis and Kane Davis. Pearl Has two girls and Frances(Lenny) has 1 daughter and another child on the way. As far as I know Christopher does not have any children either. My email is email@example.com if you would like to use that to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

|Valarie Vine||David Henry Terman|
I took a few pictures at Bellview Cemetery in Sacramento, CA. I did not find a photo for Mr. Terman, but discovered that there is a David Terman buried at Masonic Cemetery in Sacramento (findagrave #113319262) with the dates of 1861-1944. Rootsweb has several entries for David Henry Terman some with the birth year as 1861 and some with 1862. The entry on findagrave was just added in 2013. You might want to check it out. If that is your person, just delete the one from Bellview.
