Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am from Ogden, Utah. I'm the oldest son of Mary and Clifford Hofer and I have been doing family history since I was 16 years old. I am a father to one little girl, and uncle to 3 more little girls. I have been researching my family (Hofer) and these families: Terman, Saltzman, Bailey, Robbins, Bice, just to name a few. I married my wife Erica Saltzman on May 10, 2011. I am an active and dilligent volunteer photographer so if you have a photo request filled by me, please know I put a ton of time into each one I do. Right now I work mainly in Posey County, Indiana but I also do some work in Vanderburgh County, Indiana also. If you need anything please let me know. Thanks.

Cemeteries I work: Bellefontaine, Blacks, Weiss, Beech Grove, Old Beech, Laurel Hill, St. Matthews, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Maple Hill Cemetery, and Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin. I also work Kincheloe Cemetery and alot of small rural ones. Those by name are ones I do regularly.

SPECIAL NOTE:

Effective February 19, 2013 ANYONE who decides they want to steal a photo request that I have claimed will be reported to Find a Grave. Please check the photo request and if it is mine leave it alone. Thank You.

Grave 82073722 Henry Peabody
I requested a deletion of the father of Henry Peabody because while his father was known to be Stephen Peabody of Jefferson Co., NY it was stated on Jemima Nash's memorial that Stephen died in 1813 and then she remarried. Also, Stephen Peabody #82073723 died in 1896 at 68 years. That would make him born around 1828 which is after Henry. Any thoughts? I am doing some research on Henry's brother Jonathan who went to Allegan Co., Michigan. Not a family member however. Thanks for all of your hard work.

I did not take a picture of the memorial as there is no death date. I can add the photo from his wifes memorial but I figured you would want the death date on Rays. If there is something more you would like me to do, let me know,

Abraham & Elizabeth Penfold
Thank you so much for all you do! If it wasn't for people like you, we would never be able to find where our people are buried.
Abraham & Elizabeth Penfold were my husband's great great grandparents. Their daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie" (1855-1923) married Samuel Potter.
We barely have time to get back to Crossville & with the bridge out, New Harmony is even more difficult. Thank you for the photos and info!

Larkin Vonalt
RE: Larry Vonalt, New Harmony
Charlie, there just are not "far away family members." It's not that kind of family. I did not question my father's wishes to be buried in New Harmony-- I knew he found it a contemplative place to visit. But because it would make it nearly impossible for any of his family to visit his grave (no one lives remotely near there, including his widow, who does not drive) I am left to assume that this is not the way he wished to be remembered. If you do a Google Search on his name, you will find a better portrait of the man than any slab of black granite.
