I enjoy helping others make the link in the chain between the past and the present. This to me is just a small way of keeping some order to things nobody can remember off the top of their head. South Georgia is my home base and the rest of the world is our place to engage. Thanks for all you do to keep this site going. Remember it takes special people to do special things. If I may be of assistance let me know.|

|Kim Johnson||Thank You|
I saw your name as a link on the page of my grandmother Clara Mitchel Mercer as the person who added her picture. I just wanted to say thank you. I am starting to research family history and seeing her picture brought back so many wonder memories of her. I truly miss her but so glad to find this information and wanted to take the time to say thank you.

Same to you. I have made Great strides on the tree of Marion Townsend King (Slater's wife) and almost 0 on my Friends Isiah & Gladys Roberts.
Marion was a friend too. We belonged to a wonderful group that met at the "Little Library" here in Albany, and studied Astrology, Numerology, Palmstry, ESA, Edgar Cayce and many other very forward things for the times. (60's right after the Marches here in Albany) Also have a tree on a former slave who was on my 3rd Great Grandfather's place. Are you on ancestry? I find, after overr 36 years of Genealogy-that that research is still VERY CHALLENGING!
Happy new year🌹

So good to hear from you, my friend.
Interesting that you live in south Georgia. My grandparents and various cousins lived/live in the Valdosta area.
May God bless you and give you the most wonderful of New Years.

It's very good to hear from you. I have not been working on my family history as much due to some other things that have come up, however, I have not completely abandoned it either. I enjoy "Cemetery Hunting" as I call it, but unfortunately, I am the only one in my circle who does, so that makes it hard to spend time with family and get in a little hunting. I just have to figure out the logistics. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I don't know if you are on Facebook, but I would be happy to befriend you there. My Facebook name is Tamara Goff Piercey.
Thanks for writing!

Thank you, Tyler!
|Ann Davis||RE: Bartow Powell|
Tyler...one of the sources I found on the internet show that Mr. Powell was shot dead, while riding in his carriage thru Albany?
