I am now an old woman who proudly served America in the Air Force during the Korean and Viet Nam eras. God bless all our troops in the mid-east. I hope they all come home safe, sound and whole as soon as possible. God bless America.|
Aretha's hat is everywhere and this kitty looks so great wearing it, too.

|Star Kline||Happy Armed Forces Day!|
Thank you for your service to our country. Thanks, also, for creating memorials to honor other veterans, including one for my distant relative, Dot Rustay.
|GCHDRAKE||RE: Noah Drake|
Noah's first wife (I believe his first) was Goldie Pickerel, they had Bettie Jean Drake who only lived for 7 days. Bettie Jane DRAKE
Birth 24 JAN 1923 • Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, USA
Death 31 JAN 1923 • Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, USA
I do have the certificate and it is posted on my Ancestry pages, I can't post it here but will email it to you.
here is the Ancestry page link:
They were living at 610 Creighton Ave in Dayton and Bettie Jean is buried in Woodland Cemetery.
you can search the Woodland site for free: http://www.woodlandcemetery.org/search

Good morning from NYC!
I was referring to the Find-A-Grave page I believed you maintain for the listing of Annie Moore (1874-1924), recorded as the first immigrant processed through Ellis Island, on January 1, 1892.
Her real first name was Anne; she was from Ireland and she married a man called Joseph Schayer, a bakery clerk and lived the rest of her days in the Lower East Side in Manhattan, NYC.
I thought you were listed as sponsoring her page - perhaps in going through pages, I got my information mixed up.

Can you provide an exact location for Annie Moore's grave in Calvary Cemetery?
|GCHDRAKE||RE: Noah William Drake|
Thanks so much for the reply that helps a lot to understand the relationships. I recently found a lovely picture of Frederick and his lovely wife Mary Ellen tending to their chickens, I have posted it on Ancestry. Thanks to your pictures of her I was able to identify the photograph. If you would like a copy, please let me know.
I will look for the ship that they came over on, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
I did know of Mrs. Connoly passing, I am in touch with her son Carl. I am very sad to hear the news of Agnes Marie passing though.
My love and best wishes for a very happy new year.

Thank you for everything you are doing to preserve the memory of those that have gone before.

I wonder how Noah came to be thought of as Irish? The Drake line is German as we well know and if his father removed the kids to raise them then I wonder if the Iraih streak was a nod to his Mother?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
